    kun ang ato main interest sa military power kaya kaayo nato pokpokon ang china kun atong budget didto tanan e divert pero ky ato main interest is business economics man mao na nga minos ug depensa ang pinas. salig ra jud ta ani ni uncle sam permi.

    Remember Russia was so angry that Georgia (which had split from the Soviet Union) was building close ties with the West? Russia badly wanted that region because of oil/gas pipelines, it was strategically important to control the land. Russia launched a five day war occupying Georgia with tanks and ground troops after bombing missions because they claimed that Russians citizens had been endangered along the border by Georgian forces who were engaged in a counter-insurgency in East Ossetia .

    Anyway the point I'm making is this... don't be surprised if China engineers a scenario where they deploy forces and then grab the contested areas. I believe they already tried this against Japan when a Chinese fishing vessel rammed a Japanese coast guard patrol. The Japanese didn't take the bait, but somebody surely will.
