    oh dont get me wrong. i love my s3 and enjoy playing with it. i understand that there is a reason behind every aspect of the fones design. but one cant help to wish more from something right? i dont have any problem with the placement of the power button though the back key oftentimes gets in the way when i an using the fone one handed. anyway its not the layout i was having, as you say, gripes on. anyhow, thanks for the points though.

    cheers.

    I think Mr. J. Abz said it all.

    Guys, I have a question. At what point can you say that: I need to root my phone already?

    ^^ when you feel that the stock ROM or stock apps on your phone are getting you dreary and bored already.

    Rooting makes your phone sing again.. trust me... Rooting gives you endless and limitless possibilities on what you can mod/tweak/customize and install apps that you can't normally do in an unrooted phone...

    Join the dark side and welcome it... it is for the best!

    When you need/want to use apps that will only properly work when the phone is rooted (e.g. titanum).

    @homer

    I agree with you sir, When the S3 was initially and officially introduced to the smartphone world.. I too was one of the millions and milions of disappointed and frustrated fans out there that had hoped for Samsung's highly innovative and skilled technology to be out of this world in designing the phone.

    Sadly, they quashed those high hopes by releasing an ergonomic phone with less on the outside (but more on the inside).

    I share your sentiments also that Samsung would have done much better in designing it but they remain austere and simple. Something that again the designers have made a simple layout for a much needed purpose and reasons.

    ^ gud luck then..

    P.S. if your concern of losing warranties on your phone, there are tons and tons of tutorials out there that can revert your rooted phone to being unrooted again. The triangle icon (if you have one), can simply be remove thru ChainFire's triangleAway app and that goes also for removing the Binary counter on your phone.

    When you return (for whatever reasons) your phone back to Sammy.. trust me, they won't even know you have done any rooting on it.

    Cheers!

    I actually don't like the power button being placed on the upper right side of the phone. every time i play games, browse or just typing something using my both hands, the phone locks easily when accidentally pressed. very disappointing on my part cos unlocking it takes time since i set up a code to unlock it. i still prefer the nokia/apple's way of unlocking the device. guess it boils down to preference.

    Unrooted phones are like virgins. You would want them to stay as virgins...

    but eventually you can't fight the urge to get freaky.
