i totally agree.. What set off this firestorm is the $50,000 Solar Sports, the Filpino TV network, paid to Gary for Nonito’s fight against Luis Maldonado. Top Rank used to give a big chunk of the Filipino TV money to Manny Pacquiao and, for Manny’s last two bouts, he got all of the Filipino rights fee. The Donaires know this and they don’t see why they should not get a piece of that pie..from BoxingConfidential..

although i had my doubts on batawang b4 because of his age.. he had proven me wrong with his bout against a much younger thailander, which btw was the undercard of the gorres motiel fight(unfortunately gorres lost via split descision) with his vicious hook to the body.. i can pretty much say this fight is in the bag.. i could be wrong.. bout u?? tell us your toughts on this fight??

well batawang is a very experienced and technical boxer, his style is pretty much the same sa Gerry Penalosa who's very good in counterpunching.. both has the same weakness in my opinion... they're both stand up fighter and hates opponents who runs a lot.. like what happened to GP vs. DPDL, GP had a hard time scoring coz DPDL would run a lot in the later rounds.. if Solis won't do the same as DPDL then this match might be bagged by Batawang.. ^^

ill give u another very intersting fight.. its between donaire and christian mijares.. both are champions and are tall for their weight class what do u think??

this fight would be very interesting if it'd push through.. Donaire wouldn't have a hard time moving up since that's his natural weight... i'd go for mijares on this one.. Mijares is a very slick fighter, even Jorge Arce was having a hard time hitting Mijares who's also known as a very good & interesting boxer.. Donaire has a good left hook especially when he uses it for counterpunching... If Donaire develops more combinations on his punches, then i might change my decision.. He really needs to prove that he's not a one hit wonder..

i agree with you with regards to christian being a slick fighter.. nonito already proven that he is not a one hit wonder in his recent fight.. that was one of the best fight ive ever seen with donaire's ring generalship.. he totally dictated the pace of the fight.. now with christian fighting jorge.. same as maldonado, jorge tends to just out brawl his opponents which, btw, is a lot smaller than him.. jorge was clearly out boxed by the taller mijares same with the donaire fight with maldonado.. fighting a much smaller brawler.. rhyme au dah.. nonito has superb counterpunching, one of the best in the business.. kusog pa jud au either left or right.. his head and lateral movements are also there.. a complete package.. but then again boxing has a lot of surprises.. this could be one..
