CDU was quake proof, the aesthetics aren't. Already the design was haunted by design faults that cause the metal interiors to fly off wrecking havoc to vehicles park in its vicinity.

you only need to read the news and see that Cebu has less damaged buildings and infrastructures.

but one thing is sure - CICC is way substandard !! coz the interior was destroyed

boss interesado ko ani nah topic dah.. naa ka links ani nga balita nga ipa demolish daw? anway if ang interiors ang nahugno including the roofs or wall basta ang mga beams or columns doesnt have cracks inside (usually naa man gyud crack pero outer rana, wah kaabot sah sulod gyud) then building is still open for business-after repairs of damaged walls, roofs etc as interiors.

amo neighbor naay apartment unit ang developer is kaiser then nakabantay ko pagtukod sa walls ang materials only consist of styrofoam and thin steel bars dili matawag og cabilya, then finishing dayon. I thought it should be hollow blocks. Are styrofoam+finishing+thin steel bars used for constructing walls up to the standards?

those styrofoams are inteded for insulation... ang pina ka importante sa usa ka balay nga ligon ang haligi jud... well thats just me... ang gani nako sa renovation sa balay kay ing-ana ug style... pero ang foundation mao ang palig-unon... my parents house is build with that kind of technology... maski mag snow sa gawas init ra sa sulod...

Now we know? We've KNOWN this since the time when the ENTIRE Philippines was declared part of the Pacific Ring of Fire (after the International Geophysical Year meetings in 1957 and 1958 ). So dapat unta, ever since 1958 pa ta nag start ug prepare. But as usual, like everything else in this country.... *yawns*
