we are an overtaxed people. think we are the only country in the world that collects terminal fees on airports. murag unsa baya ka nice ato airport compared to other airports worldwide.

Agree ko ani. I've been saying for a long time that this country needs serious tax reform. Greater tax burden and collection effort must be made at the top 20% of income earners and oppressive consumption taxes like the VAT which at 12% destroys the middle and lower classes needs to be repealed or at least reduced to levels comparable with our neighbors.

We are also the only country in the world to charge capital gains taxes at the gross rather than the gain. I don't even know why they still call it a capital gains tax, as whether or not you make or loss money, you pay the tax. I guess its another example of the many stupid things our government and politicians do that make foreign investors wonder if the people running our country are nuts or just plain stupid.
