The reason why i remained a Catholic:
First and foremost I believe in God. I was born of a Catholic family. Today, I considered this the greatest gift that my parents gave me, baptizing me in the Catholic faith - in the name of the Blessed Trinity, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. In my early childhood, I grew with little knowledge in my Catholic faith. I was happy whenever Christmas came. But as I grew older, this Catholic guided me in my faith to my God. When I got married, I said to myself that I will offer one of my sons to serve the holy altars of the Catholic church (I named my sons with Hebrew names, in English translations it means - God is with us, My God, My Provider). Our family is a simple, ordinary one. We have problems, troubles, temptations as others do, but we as parents now, passed on the faith that we have in the Catholic way to our children. Today, I am or rather we as parents are sending one of our sons to the seminary school, as he accepted my heart's desire that one day I can offer one of my sons to serve my God in the holy altar. It is difficult to say for many are called but only few are chosen. These people (Peter's successors) need much of our prayers. For to whom knowledge is much revealed , there are great temptations. There is so much pride in me if I will say that I am a practicing Catholic, for I am not perfect. I only beg for His Divine Mercy. Yet I tried and tried to practice the Catholic preaching no matter how difficult the road to holiness. I stumbled and fall, pick my cross and carry again. For all, who believe in God, God is gracious. He never sees divisions - Catholic, Islam, Buddhist, other Christians, Taoist etc. We are all His dear children. His dear creation.
I was a Catholic, I am a Catholic and will remain a Catholic...Catholics like me, can comprehend much of what I have written. Peace!
