Driving isn't the issue here. What if you are in this guys position? Or maybe a relative of yours? Wouldn't you ask for more than 4 million? A life could have been taken out due to this companies negligence. What if a brother or a sister of yours was shot in the vital organs and died?

I personally know the guy. They're not really financially-challenged now. He's a team lead now at JP Morgan and his wife also works there as a trainer. But not filing a case means they're letting CVG off the hook. so I guess they're not really filing the case for the money but more of making CVG take responsibility for the incident.
