"Remember , remember the 5th of November. Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason, why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot."

These hackers (wearing Guy Fawkes mask) are implicating the attempt of bombing the House of Lords and assassination of King of England on Nov. 5th, 1605 led by Guy Fawkes . Fawkes failed however . If they would've succeeded on their assassination attempt , it would've been like 9/11 .

Then there goes the movie called V for Vendetta about a guy dressed in a Guy Fawkes mask who led the revolution in London against the totalitarian government and promote anarchy . He was successful on his plot . He even successfully took over the TV broadcast and tell the people to join him to revolt against the government in one year ... Nov. 5th .

I don't know if these hackers will be successful , but if hacking Facebook would be a success , it will be interesting to see some ruckus this coming the 5th of November .

Agree. Facebook has its privacy settings; it is your responsibility if you want to divulge more personal information to the public. And even if you yourself manage to make your online life private (there's no such thing online privacy, really), what about your friends, family members and colleagues? Do you get to know that your silly pics of your drunken escapades or questionable updates have been posted by somebody?

Too many ways to contact them. One of it is through their twitter account(s). Or you make a Facebook page that says "Hey Anonymous, hack my site!".

The only way to kill Facebook is to stop using it. Like what we did to Friendster.
How do you permanently delete your FB account?

tried it. it doesn't really work. although you lose access to your account, your data is still there - or the data that you forgot to remove anyway...

Your data will not be deleted if your account is only deactivated. But if you requested to permanently delete your account, your data will still be available for a reasonable period of time (due to back-up issue) but it gets deleted after.
