I don't want to burst your bubble, but a home-based job isn't a walk in the park either. You'll be faced with a lot of challenges, especially steady flow of income and boredom. Based on experience, I would say don't immediately quit. Try working online for at least six months. Make that transition slowly but surely.

You can also try Pinoyexchange.com, craigslist.org (particularly Manila and Cebu), freelancer.com, odesk.com, and elance.com. Kanang tulo, though, you have to be very patient since you're up against hundreds of other freelancers.

It's really hard to be in Odesk and other bidding freelance sites because of so-stiff competition. My suggestion is for you to work with a team. That means search for a company or a person who's building a pool of writers, editors, programmers, etc.
