hmm.. depende unsa ganahan nimo buhaton. i suggest na if it's web designing, publishing, editing, or writing, create your portfolio first before you try selling your services to clients.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but a home-based job isn't a walk in the park either. You'll be faced with a lot of challenges, especially steady flow of income and boredom. Based on experience, I would say don't immediately quit. Try working online for at least six months. Make that transition slowly but surely.

For online jobs, you can begin right here in Istorya. There is a growing number of such types of work posted in Jobs section. You can also try Pinoyexchange.com, craigslist.org (particularly Manila and Cebu), freelancer.com, odesk.com, and elance.com. Kanang tulo, though, you have to be very patient since you're up against hundreds of other freelancers.

It's really hard to be in Odesk and other bidding freelance sites because of so-stiff competition. My suggestion is for you to work with a team. That means search for a company or a person who's building a pool of writers, editors, programmers, etc.

Yes! In fact, you're in a huge advantage because you specialize in something. Technical writers are paid handsomely. If you know how to write, you can pitch your engineering ideas in online magazines, websites, or blogs.
