To Lyt: I guess what irks me about some of the posts on this topic would be the "rush to judgement" that this old fellow was a pedophile, or having *** with a minor, and because of that he in deserves no pity. Seniors are often targeted by others (including young girls) and taken advantage of and/or abused. Often robbed or swindled out of their pensions, until they manage to break away from the situation. If the 16 yr old girl in this case has friends with guns (who are willing to kill people for money), she's not an "innocent minor". A girl with guns who orders a cold-blooded murder is NOT vulnerable. Did she also pull the trigger? It's really likely she is more on the "hardcore" side of things, as are her accomplices. We haven't been told much about the relationship of these two people, and to label the victim here as a pedophile is way off course without evidence of such behavior (pedophiles generally target prepubescent children). The old fellow gets my sympathy for now, and let no one be his judge, jury and executioner unless it is a court of law. Judging by the past efforts by the police/prosecutors here, it is unlikely that justice will be served. Do you really consider this murder as being an example of "justice served"? If you do, I'm extremely greatful that you have chosen not to pursue a career in the legal profession there...

the good thing about forums compared to courts is we can pretty much say whatever we want, our views and opinions. this is not an avenue to act like a lawyer or judge for that matter.

IMO, people who try to hold back their thoughts in a forum or project to be objective is either a coward or hypocrite.

The murder was obviously premeditated , so she'll gonna spend the rest of her life in prison . It's hard to get evidence that she was abused , and both had sexual relations even if this Amy will claim that they had sexual relations -- which won't matter anyways cuz' the American is dead .
