If ever this would be implemented by the government, what assurance do we get that the shop owners/ sellers of sim cards would be strict in implementing this? No offense pero dba this will just add up to their burden na mangita pa ug papers or identification when all they are after for is income? ngano mag hasol2 pman kog pamaligya--d pa lang ko mahalinan den daghan pud ko ug competenxa. so why not make it easy for the consumers para daghan kog halin

If the Government would really implement this and all of us cooperates, then there shouldn't be a reason for it to fail.
Prior implementing a system, the gov't should think that there are people who will circumvent it. Sad to say not all people cooperates, cheaters are anywhere. And that is fact.

Not all dude. What we are trying to emphasize here is that this is not as easy as you think. Not a closer solution. Think out of the box, think for long term. Why would tragic happens one's freedom will be limited and create burden to others? Why not get on the root of the problem, get after the culprits. Only damn criminals will be traced by using registered sim.

    2. cheating husband or wife - if a husband or wife really wants to cheat he/she will definitely not use his/her registered sim. solution? marriage counselling.

Real life example: I know a wife traced that his husband has an affair with someone else, but heck his husband doesn't mind going back due to her attitude. See? No sim registration can solve that even if the mistress was traced by her number.

    3. scammers ug spammers - same. solution? awareness.
    4. mag haras2x sa via call or text - same. how about kung mang harass using payphone?
    5. death threats same as 4
The ability to be traced will not work if someone really wants to circumvent the system. Therefore, a solution that will create another problem. This could be a waste of time, money and effort.
