the only reason why this thread seems one sided is because fitness first or any of it's staff has not given answers to the problems presented to this thread. instead we have constantine berating the members because of their complaints.

Constantine SAID:
No wonder why Gold's Gym didnt push thru in putting one in Cebu.... i guess i dont need to say the reason why.
Well sir Constantine Cebuano customers are the most demanding, scrupulous and meticulous on the entire planet. We want value for money and excellent customer service. Some stores and products never survived here. If your company can survive Cebu you can survive anywhere since this is where you can ACID test any product. If it can stir demand here in Cebu it can be sold elsewhere in the World without any problem. GOLD's GYM realize that... and a lot of other companies...(i just don't want to mention them)
O.T.Â* "Adapt".....thats the word.Â* When Wal-mart open its 1st Store in China....They adjust & adapt the Chinese Way.Â* And look @ them now....they are now the favorite Store in Guangdong Province.Originally Posted by Constantine

Clearly shows you know nothing about business.Originally Posted by Constantine
As Spec-V stated, the word is Adapt. Companies, such as Fitness First, who want to put up a business in Cebu must ADAPT to their market. A Company must do something called market research, in order to learn the behaviour of their prospective clients.
Â*@ Cool : i dont think they should charge you for the whole month of july just for that u joined mid month. why? it doesn't make sense. if it so happened when the time they opened which i remembered was i think Dec, they were having a promotion for early memberships. that time they even told their clients the gym will be opening 23th of nov?(i forgot the date) and in doing so, they going to charge the clients with the amount from the said opening date up to the end of that month. which computes the whole amount divided by the number of days of the month multiplied to the number of days to be used. sadly the opening didnt pushed thru on that day in nov, instead sa dec na nag open. because of this, the company decided to compensate to their clients by offering packages like a 1000 worth of F 1st goods or training sessions or deductions to the accounts due to the client at the next billing period.
Â* Â*now let me ask you, if they're doing this at that time, why not this time when your joining them mid month? why not charge you the number of days left for the month instead of the whole month?
@Starr and ryan: sakto mo about the termination clause. pero you are comparing to a PREPAID CARD LOAD to the membership of a club. prepaid implies you already paid up the load so it is good enough for the company to inform you through text or automatically terminate it. the membership Â*implies that they charge you credit while enjoying their services until you say you want it terminated. now, like what zirv and now you too said, what's the use of their computers anyway? Â*
Â* Â* Â* Â*the best way to solve this problem, they should have put on their computer alerts on the days when certain members of theirs is expiring, and CALL THEM if possible. if CALLING their clients is not possible because they have thousands of members, at least thru mail or as i have received lately, TEXT Alerts from fitness first (NOW im wondering if they're charging us the alerts or not?dili bya lalim ang 2.50 per text, think of the amount multiplied to the number of members)
Â* Â* Â*UMM, and speaking of CALLING UP, if they have the time to call up some people (the ones when your signing up, they give a form for you to fill up about 10 of em so that you can have their bag, and stuff) over and over again about joining their club, and i dont mean once a month. WHY dont they have the time to call up their VALUED MEMBERS that their contract is expiring? hows about that?TOINK!!!
Â* Â*so what can you say about that mr. KWR? Hmmm?? you should look up to your team, maybe some of them are not doing their work well that's why this thread sprouted up.
Â* Â*i think this thread isnt one sided like what pnoize said. Mr. Kwr here found this one and should reply to all this questions being thrown in here. this way if the same questions are asked, and replied already by the member of fitness 1st here, it will be at the convenience of all. all they need is to look for this thread, and their questions will be answered, KWR wont repeat again and again the redundant questions thrown at him. agree
Â* i know some people are satisfied of the services fitness first give, to name a few, i think constantine is one. why? he's not happy with what this thread has gone. Â*come on, let some people air their grievances, this is a free country. it doesnt mean the problem is collectively in on one place only, and to say that golds gym didnt plan on putting up a branch here, i think its not time yet. why did i say so? take the other specialty shops like starbucks, kenny's, gloria jean's, etc.... it took them a long time to set up shop here. why? Cebuanos is really hard to please. we always get our money's worth. Â*Only time will tell, only time will tell. i agree with spec-v too, companies coming in to new territories, not just in CEBU, anywhere, should ADAPT, if thay cant adapt themselves, they just die away. its a fact.
Â* Â*for the record, im not against fitness first or one of the dissatisfied customer of fitness first. actually, im just half satisfied. hehehehe.
The reason we compared it to that is because they asked us:@Starr and ryan: sakto mo about the termination clause. pero you are comparing to a PREPAID CARD LOAD to the membership of a club. prepaid implies you already paid up the load so it is good enough for the company to inform you through text or automatically terminate it. the membership implies that they charge you credit while enjoying their services until you say you want it terminated. now, like what zirv and now you too said, what's the use of their computers anyway?Huh Smiley
Where, logically, when they asked us for our credit card number, we have already pre-paid every month at the beginning of each month for 3 months. Gets?Fitness first: How many months would you like to workout ma'am?
Me: 3 months lang... testing lang sa if we're really determined.
Fitness first: Ok... check lang 3 months on the contract.
Me: But if we want to continue after 3 months, pwede raba? or we have to signup again?
Fitness first: Ok ra ma'am... just inform me if you want to continue.
THE END.
That is what we've been trying to say since the beginning! And just so you'd know, we didn't pay them up to call us on our cellphones... so about the excuse on the prepaid thing, it's still quite lame.UMM, and speaking of CALLING UP, if they have the time to call up some people (the ones when your signing up, they give a form for you to fill up about 10 of em so that you can have their bag, and stuff) over and over again about joining their club, and i dont mean once a month. WHY dont they have the time to call up their VALUED MEMBERS that their contract is expiring? hows about that? Smiley TOINK!!!
I agree with this angelo... maybe some of their staff aren't doing what they're supposed to do.so what can you say about that mr. KWR? Hmmm?? you should look up to your team, maybe some of them are not doing their work well that's why this thread sprouted up.
Constantine, you think philippines would be a better country if it was filled people who don't know what they're talking about... just keeps on blurting out insults to make a point... and have replies which are way out of topic? Anyway, Who are you to speak for Gold's Gym anyway? These people are right... Cebuanos are very meticulous customers who demand for what they paid for... they are very hard to please. Maybe Gold's Gym think it's not yet time to open here... just as it took so long for starbucks and kenny rogers to open one here in Cebu.
Ass, we're not being one-sided. You said their staff are doing the best they can? I guess their best isn't good enough... You think they did their best to inform their clients on the 3 month "open-ended" contract? Then how come there are LOTS and I mean LOTS of former customers who experienced the same thing![]()
I guess it's you guys who shouldn't ignore (or maybe you just don't understand really) what's happening... Maybe it's time for you guys to realize that the PERFECT company you wish to think it is, isn't that perfect after all... and accept other people's complaints and opinions as open-mindedly as you can.
@Ryan and Starr: i did think it over that part this morning, i think i got it na, both are almost the same but on a different angle. sorrymy bad
to st@rr and ryan you said cebuanos are hard to please? or some ignorant cebuanos just like yourselves who complains too much? who am i to say why Gold's Gym is not and will never be opening here in Cebu anymore? is that im one of the franchise owner here in the Philippines.... thats why.... since i had seen that its not worth it to put up one here.... i told my partners that lets find another place.... like what i said from the past post.... if your not satisfied in joining fitness first then build your own gym and start your own gym business.... all you do is talk.... talk talk talk.... thats why your country will never ever going to improve.... all you do is complain.... complain about everything..... my goodness.... go ahead complain again.... and st@rr you said that there are LOTS of people like you who complains? then why dont you gathered all these "people" that you said and bring them to fitness first.... and lets see how many are you.... i guess your just speculating too much that there are LOTS of people who complained.... where are they then? common guys your just creating numbers here....
by the way st@rr and ryan how old are the both of you? what's your achievements in life? do you own a business? a company? you speak like you know all the answers to every questions.... there's an old italian saying that "people who complain too much doesnt have anything to show in life" thats why all they do is complain.... they get so much satisfaction by complaining.... and when you ran out of things to complain then you create another one.... you people....
Constantine, my nick says it all. I don't need to hide my identity to anyone here. Yes, I am the president and CEO of my own company, ARCTECH SOLUTIONS INC. It may not be as huge as the number of businesses you own like Gold's Gym... or I may not be as rich as you are, but one thing's for sure, nobody cheats my money out of me.
Tell me, where in our posts did we sound like we know the answers to every question?
Anyway, now that we know that you're a franchise owner of Gold's Gym, as you claim to be, we now know what kind of customer service your company has. I can't believe that you still think Fitness First is right in this situation... given all the explanations. In my company, I spend money for customer service to ensure that each customer who leaves our office is satisfied. I never talk to my customers like the way you do. I will not let 1,990 pesos ruin the reputation of my company... and I will not make promises I will not keep. We are not perfect, but we know when to step back in any customer related issues. That is how I see things.
In this case, you may have your own reasons for feeling the way you feel. and if I have the time, I will just take this to the SEC.
