php as the future of web development? bold but not there yet... its a trend... true... its easy to learn true... but always remember despite php had been grown into usefull language it still bears its original idea... as a template engine...

naka bati php development ang new trends of framework teaching the new generation programmers to be lazy

Tech wise yes it promotes laziness over deep knowledge... pero the brighter side is: you will become more productive and spend less time sa computer... finish stuffs faster... and faster receivables and payments from clients...

So the question is: Do you program because the technology exists and indulge in it? or Do you do it because of survival at the same time learning?

How about the market value of it. There are a lot of web programming languages out there such as Ruby on Rails, .NET, etc. And when looking at freelancing websites, it looks like PHP is the cheapest. Why is that? Does that mean PHP is the most overcrowded language there is? What are your comments?

If we are talking about programming languages here i believe one of those is the MEAN stack. If we are talking about methodology, you could look at the different JS Data Binding framework.

JS is good... like angular and its like... however JS is still young in this arena.... kung sa taw pa highschool pa siya where other server languages are already in college... one thing i like sa mga JS mvc is nindot siya gamiton sa mga hackathon dali ra ma implement... nonetheless.... the future of web development is not at what language or framework thats famous/trending... but rather its on the developer itself.... language is irrelevant if ang developer botchokoy ra gihapon...

Are you referring to the language developer? or the user of the language. I thought we are discussing here about "The future of Web Development", what does it got to do with any developer being botchokoy.

Php dev here. IMHO, Nindot ang PHP for small to medium scale development, pero kng large sites na mas preferable man siguro ang other languages like JAVA and .NET because of security issues. Example mga banking websites.. Murag wala jud ko kabantay na naay banko na naggamit ug PHP programming language.. kasagaran Java(JSP) gud ug .NET.

Para naku murag wala man siguro'y language na entitled as `future of web development` kay each language has its own advantages and disadvantages, depende ra na kung unsay needs sa imong software.

Pero if I were to choose a language for web development standards , I'll go for Node.js kay nindot mangud kng pareha ang imong server side ug client side language.. mas less ang imong learning curve but as i've said depende ra na sa needs sa imong software. Each language has its own advantages and disadvantages

which is more stable language nowadays beside PHP d.i? PHP Dev ko pero i feel like it cant support me with my later years of Programming Career im 20 years old though. Should i stay focus on PHP language or should i pursue or learn another language and what language would that be ? ive heard .NET will be going to open source is that a good move or mag Ruby on Rails i am still confused though i want to be financially stable by the age of 25. How can i achieve this? regarding the company i am working i am still in the entry level position and its a small company.
