KINGS ANNOUNCE TWO-GAME PRESEASON SCHEDULE WITH GOLDEN STATE
SACRAMENTO, CA —— The Sacramento Kings will kick off the 2011-12 preseason campaign on Saturday, December 17th when the Kings travel to Golden State for a tilt with the Warriors at Oracle Arena (7:30 pm) in the first of a two-game preseason slate between the two teams. Sacramento will play host to Golden State on Tuesday, December 20th at Power Balance Pavilion (7 pm).

Kings sign Hayes to four-year deal

The Sacramento Kings will sign free-agent forward Chuck Hayes to a four-year, $21.3 million contract mirroring the full midlevel exception, Hayes’ agent Calvin Andrews told Yahoo! Sports.

A Modesto, Calif., native, Hayes is in Sacramento and is expected to sign the deal Friday. Hayes averaged 7.9 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Houston Rockets last season. The Minnesota Timberwolves also tried to make a strong push to land Hayes, who has a good relationship with coach Rick Adelman.

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Dec. 09, 2011 -- The Sacramento Kings today renounced the rights to Samuel Dalembert (center), Pooh Jeter (guard), Marquis Daniels (forward/guard) and Darnell Jackson (forward), according to Kings’ President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.
