    @herp and consultancy
by all means sir, PLEASE DO SHARE, just make sure nga naa ta gamay nga informative write-up sir para pud naa ta gamay knowledge about the place.... salamat kaayo sir

ANYBODY can post.... let me rephrase the things I've said earlier that let this thread be a reference guide, instruction, tips, insight, a helping hand to anyone planning an adventure trip within our motherland

Philippines has so much to offer which is sometimes very accessible for us and yet very few photos, tips, and write-ups are found in the web and by starting this thread it may be a start to something good. I am always in a hunt for very interesting places around our motherland and always open to something new.

PLEASE.... do offer/posts pictures (PICTURE with an "S".... with or without watermarks) and please do make a write-up of that place... just describe it in the most simple yet informative way... DO NOT just post the name of the place or may put me in a guessing game scenario as to what place it is... I simply dont give any interest on how you photograph but I am interested on reading the story your photo is trying to imply.

This thread is not a contest as to who is the most travelled, who captures the best shot, or who is a better photographer but this is a challenge for us all to bring out to the open about how beautiful our country is. Let us be so proud to say " I Love the Philippines"

    Salamat for understanding my purpose.

Boracay..... basically its the most popular destination Filipinos may always consider. I have travelled unto so many shorelines and white sand beaches but I should say that the finiest and whitest sands are found in Boracay. The island can be reached by plane and the longer way is take a boat to Iloilo. The best way by plane is thru Caticlan airport because the island of boracay is about 15-20 minutes 25Php boatride but ironically the terminal fee for the government is much more expensive pegged at 50php and another environmental fee of 50php.... such an easy money for the government... dont ask me as to where this money would go

The best way to enjoy the beaches of Boracay is not on Holy Week but on a lean season, but to enjoy the party of Boracay then Holy Week is the best. I am not an avid party traveller so I visited the place before summer kicks in.

Got my 1600Php roundtrip promo fare thru advance booking. Me and two more photo buddies went for an R&R but it turns out to be hard labor, hehehehe... Sleeping way so late and waking up way too early. We stayed on a very strategic place called Mitto's Place owned by sir Barretto also indulged in photography. The room cost us 2,950Php with free breakfast and located beside Starbucks on the middle of station 2 and near D-mall.

If I have to describe Coron in one word..... it would be "paradise". With the advent of promos from Cebu Pacific, it is now very easy and cheap to be at Coron (thru Busuanga Airport or YKR Airport). The rate of Cebu - Busuanga is a catchy deal but it would be better if you take the route CEB-MLA-Busuanga connection if you are on a very tight budget.

The lakes, lagoons, and beaches here in Coron is on another level not comparable in any way to Cebu, Boracay, Batangas, and Mindoro. It is purely nature at its best.

The boat rental for island hopping would only cost you from 1500-2000Php (all-in not per head). The owner of the boat went with me on my trip, and she was more of a tourist like me because it was her first time to check out Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, and some other sites we went in. The first lake that we visited was the Kayangan Lake. In Kayangan entrance there is an entrance fee of 200Php/head for Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, and the Twin Lagoon. You will be given a brief lecture about the island of four lakes.

I was scheduled to go around some interesting and not so visited site around Coron if not only for a slight badluck that struck our bangka. After visiting Barracuda Lake which was our second sight, our propeller got tangled with a rope that has no marker and sadly it was broken and lost into the deep. I tried to snorkel around and also ask help from visiting tourists to dive unto the deep but to no avail. We have to be pulled by the boat the foreigners boarded to Siete Picados which is nearer to Coron so that we may get another boat to continue my journey thus loosing some travel time.

Siete Picados is a paradise for snorkelers. You dont have to look for fishes but the fishes will look for you. Fish feeding is the best thing to do while snorkeling but do not cover the bread with your hand because the fishes will take a cute bite at your hand. The next site we visited was the Twin Lagoon. It is also a great place to swim around. You have to go under a cave in order to get to the other side of the lagoon. I swam all the way across the second lagoon to get to the shoreline to take photos (a crazy thing I did again) with an ice bucket where my camera was placed. I have to make sure that the ice bucket stay afloat or goodbye Nikon. Then after the lagoon we dropby a beach with a very soft whitesand. It has great rock formations in and around that beach. Then we just went to check other sites or dive spots wherein we passed by this sunken Japanese navy vessel about a couple of meters below us.

Too bad time was running out and we just made a hit and run. I will be back to check it out soon

    Bantayan Island

a photo buddy Mr. Icky Salazar invited me over to their place as well as 3 more photogs... it was a non-stop shoot for almost 36hours with a little over an hour to rest and sleep..... I just realized that if given the perfect weather, a day or two isnt enough for the wonderful Island of Bantayan... you may bring a van or any car and leave it at the Port or bring it all the way to the Island. The island basically has three municipality namely Santa Fe, Bantayan, and Madridejos. The main livelihood for folks on this island is fishing and one of the main supplier of fresh eggs to Cebu is this island called Bantayan.

This island is also a favorite Holy Week destination of people from Cebu as well as Santa Fe also boasts of their fine white sand beaches... Its at the northern tip of Cebu.

    Default the Q Park Cebu

Q Park Cebu is situated in Compostela, Cebu. This has been a project of the family of Norberto Quisumbing, Jr. and the Norkis Group. Owners call it “a legacy to the Filipino people, a place to remember.”

Getting to Q Park Cebu is easy. One needs to head north of Cebu and somewhere in Barangay Magay, to one’s left there is a sign pointing to Q Park Cebu. You can also ask the locals around. Once you enter this road and after traveling 5 kilometers, you would then be able to see the entrance to Q Park Cebu. Before reaching the breathtaking view of the park, one needs to pass the steep, uphill climb to Heroes’ Hill.

Q Park Cebu is a 200-hectare complex and is open free to public daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The complex is a work in progress which has a Girl’s Camp, Boy’s Camp, a rest area, Station of the Cross, Nativity Cave and Heroes’ Hill.

During Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday at Q Park Cebu, Holy mass starts at 3:00 PM. The park brings a different kind of ambiance. It’s a perfect place for soul searching and penitence. You can have a peaceful scenic view and you would feel you are close to nature.
