of course, i do!
but again, this is ISR especially when this goes for public use. This is telco's claim. Your effort is really appreciated and fyi, i am one of your users. i just want to warn you that anytime, your local line will be cut-off when the telco catch you on this. you can't do anything and you can't sue them as well. when you line is off, we can no longer use.![]()
there is still no law re VoIP. Yahoo-to-Yahoo, skype to skype, meaning PC-to-PC calls are fine. But when you pass thru to legacy PSTN network of telcos, that's the time you are monitored.
Again, this is telco's argument - when you use our legacy PSTN network, you have to pay us. If you use the internet for your calls, that is fine. But when you go beyond internet and pass thru our PSTN, then u pay us unless we will cut off your local tel line.
How to deal with this? Push Congress to pass a law re VoIP.
im paying the service for internet and voice. in voice still im using it for voice communication, in internet still using data in a form of packets. where did i go wrong?
I do agree, unless the prepaid imong telephone line nga dili katawag if walay load.
as always, these companies is trying their very beast, aw best diay, to impose nga sila jud magbuot. tsk. tsk. sige pa ingon ug innovations... nya mopalag sa innovations...
@dammy - unsa na latest sa cellphone calls? hehehehehe
I haven't used the number but your service sounds great. 5 out of 5!
as i said, you did nothing wrong. but telco's see it as not allowed when you cross from internet to traditional "voice". It is just that telco's do not want this to happen and they can do it coz they can cut your voice line without any legal impediments.
you know what, I have a friend who did this already 4 years ago! same setup with you and he even planned to go public but very unfortunate that telco caught him and his lines were cut. when he went to the competitor, he was also denied coz these telco's share info for those ISR operators.
ok. if thats so ill make a call for conference and introduce VoIP technology. and calling big VoIP providers out there to invest here.
Government give them a license to serve voice and internet and if they don't give a good service probably government will get their license back.
i hate this topic and hate to be in a corner. maybe ill ask the government to make laws about this as soon as possible. many ofws out there that need communications. we are paying the right price as for the right service they provide. as a user i have the right to use the service that they provide beyond that i have no more rights.
im using the voice as voice, im using internet as data in a form of packets.
hehehe i remember those days nga ma-o pay pag sikat sa voipcge lang ko travel2x kay ako may installer..deli nalang kaayo mo go in to details.. but lingaw ka ayo among experienced ato oi...
anyway... before sa bag-o pa neh nga set-up daghan gyud gipang kiha ang pldt and globe aneh but pilde sila sa decision....
PLDT lost its Supreme Court case where it tried to float the idea that so-called “International Simple Resale” (ISR) constituted the crime of “theft” of telephone calls and/or PLDT’s business … The Supreme Court decision is a crushing defeat for PLDT since it ruled that telephone calls are not the property of PLDT, but to the callers themselves.

@ldl5165, pls define sir what is an ISR to u?
@dammy, too bad we don't have techies in the senate and congress that supports free services because of no money for their pockets, he he he
callcenters do this things big time, mostly they used avaya, cisco and others... why can't we for a single line that to be used for free?
