kia, hyundai, samsung, LG, cowon, kumho, iriver, etc.. i know you trust these brands now![]()
Kanang magdiscriminate ug awto, pahimoa na ug ilaha oi
hehehehe peace.....Maghimo siya ug "IYA" nga brand compentensya sa "KIA" hahaha
sige pa diay ni nga thread,hehe...anyway if this car brand is crap as what ignorant others described we wouldn't be talking of this car make....I'm referring to our group that is growing here in cebu w/c widely started in Manila & davao....if it was due to the Kia pride and other surplus Kia's that came here that affects some people's point of view it definitely prove them wrong.....because until today were still using it, these applies to other car brands.........are we comparing guavas to apples?
trivia :
In1986, in partnership with Ford, Kia produced several Mazda derived vehicles for both domestic sales in South Korea into other countries. These models include the Pride (based on the Mazda 121) and Avella, which were sold in North America and Australasia as the Ford Festiva and Ford Aspire.
In 1992, Kia Motors America was incorporated in the United States. The first Kia-branded vehicles in the United States were sold from four dealerships in Portland, Oregon in February 1994. Since then, Kia expanded methodically one region at a time. Dealers in 1994 sold the Sephia, and a few years later the United States line expanded with the addition of the Sportage.
However, Kia's bankruptcy in 1997, part of the Asian financial crisis, resulted in 51% of the company being acquired in 1998 by South Korean rival Hyundai Motor Company, outbidding Ford Motor Company which had owned an interest in Kia Motors since 1986.[4] Subsequently, however, Hyundai has divested some of its ownership of Kia Motors[5], and currently Hyundai Motor Company owns less than 40% of the company.
Being the KOREAN CARMAKER that is , I prefer HYUNDAI over KIA for reasons not limited to performance and aesthetics .

KIA is just plain bad.
More than 80% of my friends who were KIA owners sold theirs on the 3rd - 4th year of the car's lifespan.
Reason? Car's power depletes and becomes less enjoyable in the long run.
I may be wrong, but just giving feedbacks from previous owners.
and most of all, resale value is mighty low.
Might i suggest for those who are thinking about buying a KIA, should also consider HYUNDAI in a big way.
At the end of the day, it's your call.
Cheers!
