I can't remember the name but I like Def Leppard's drummer.
After their very successful series of albums, he got into an accident. Had his arm amputated and still played drums for the band. AMAZING!!!

John Bonham of Led Zeppelin is also a good choice.

Vinnie Colaiuta - from Jazz, Blues, Fusion to Metal (he played on Megadeth's album)
Josh Freese - From A Perfect Circle, The Vandals, to Jewel, Clay Aiken, etc.. one of the hottest studio drummer
Steve Smith - knows every trick in the book.. Buddy Rich's licks.. everything. I think the most talented drummer ever.
Dave Weckl - Jazz/Fusion specialist pero also sessions for Pop acts (Madonna, etc..)
Steve Gadd - the most recorded drummer of all time. If they want the best, they hire this guy.

yep agree gyud ko ani, para nko jazz drummers are d most versatile players around.. dey hav d most complex patterns and requires a higher level of finnese wid more variety of sound dynamics..
