ako, ever since i have this thread bah. i kinda made out from my thought an idea.

we from the so many generations man gud have the bellybuttons because as far as we know and as far as science have proven, we were born from the inside of our mothers. while we were still growing, we were connected by a tube called an umbilical cord. These cord is responsible for exchanging of nutrients between our mother and us. while the wastes we produce are aslo excreted through it.

by the time we were ready to go out from our mother, we still were attached to that cord. and from that event, that cord is no longer needed has practically no use to us. so they cut up the cord. as time passes, the remains of the cord dries up and withers. What it leaves us is a scar out from that part of our body we once had. That makes up the navel we had today.

when talking about the story of adam and eve, i could say that there would be a sense of query from us generations who have not seen them. Of course we have been taught of them as the forerunners of our kind and they were made by God's hand. As clearly written, God made Adam through the earth. Meaning, he was made but wasn't born out from a mother.

God's gender wasn't revealed althroughout the scriptures but was always assumed as having the male identity because of the description of his Power and might.

So, if by that idea one would buy, then i suppose Adam wasn't born but only made. And, if he wasn't indeed born, then he would have probably no navel in the first place. So is Eve, who was described as "made" (also) out from Adam's rib. Which also in turn provoked me as having the idea of her having no navel also.

I'm not asking others to buy my opinion. I made this thread to always keep every istoryans a sense of awareness of how important our spirituality is. It may not be that we all are of the same religion or perhaps having no religion even. But its the thought of having a sense of spirituality for us to grow not only successful on our careers and cynical, materialistic points of view in life but as well as keeping a little space for our Soul to commune with our mind and be one for even a single time.

So, you're saying that they don't have umbilical cords? But you played safe because of religious beliefs or faith. Hmmm... you sound like my grandmother (RIP) - no pun intended. You agree on something but you have to raise up your faith so you will not be damned by others. Brayt sab da. Yeah, I can relate your stand but you have to choose what is strong for you not by walking on a thin rope - hanging in balance with your stand. However, that's how our mind works... no one can force you to change but yourself.

    All is well, God bless.

this 'non-bellybutton' belief thing will actually go down to 'non-sexual organs' belief thing or 'non-breast' belief for women thing. God is not that stupid.

hehehe, i get what you mean. but like i said, everything written here are opinions. so is mine. i never said straight up that i strongly believe about it, but that's the beauty of it. that i am not tied on having to read and just doing nothing about what it said. but rather have the opportunity to question what is written without questioning His deeds.

sure, it was written. but it never said He "was" the one who've written it. the writings are still the works of our predecessors who have come to personally see and feel and smell and what-have-you's the miracles and graces they received personally from Him. But me, having to be born so much later have to do so much as having only to read what was written. siyempre, pareha ra pud na sa academic and scientific learning we do from school: from what was written, read and discussed, one has to somehow immerse and experience the thing that was.

mao na madam, we share the same view as to this topic: that we both speculate about some truths of what was written. and in particularly, the argument about having the navel of these both prominent figures in human history. but same as i have said, that this is only an argument. i made a say on this and i have left my "what if" statement but i still stand behind the truth of my God and my religion.

    Ciao!
