Exactly there is no need. The X3 gives out 270mw @ 32ohms while the E07K is 220mw ohms.
I'm interested in listening how the computer USB audio sounds thru a DAC/AMP. Got no time yet to compare sound coming from line out. Maybe next week if i got time.

Meantime has someone noticed the published Freq Response of the E07K or E17?
10Hz to 220 khz / 10Hz to 500 khz.
What are these high figures if say someone uses the X3 that has a freq Resp of 10hz to 20Khz only?
Our dogs are complaining that they can only hear upto abt 50 khz. and us humans only abt upto 20 khz.
I also doubt that the low 10hz cannot be felt on the headphone and its just on paper.

A 10 hz signal can be felt easily although not heard. I have a sub at home that can do that and i can safely say that the published 10hz bottom freq is not attainable on headphones.

I'm getting too technical i guess.
Nonetheless i really don't see any reason upping the frequencies on the amp when the DAP can only give a lower freq ceiling. It is akin to using a 3" pipe from a 1" main pipeline.
My ears are not gifted to hear 8hz but i can say that i could feel it.
My SVS sub can go down to 8hz nothing can be heard but felt.

Talking about enjoying music, today i was listening to 24bit flac/vinyl and its total eargasm. Totally different sounding from 16 bits. But each file can go as high as over 100mb.

I was in Manila today but unluckily it rained heavily in the early afternoon. Felt bad had to go back Cebu in the evening without getting the chance to visit EH and audition the headphones

nice combo bai. good to have another hardcore audiophile here and a Schiit fan too. im really looking into getting the Bifrost+Valhalla someday to replace my Fiio 09k/E07k combo. maybe next xmas cz no more budget now lol.

Grado SR80i ug Hifiman HE-400 akong cans run bai. Amps kay Hifiman EF2A, Fiio E09k docked with E07k and also have a CmoyBB v2.03 comming in 3 weeks. i really like the Schiits so my options are the Valhalla or Lyr amps to stack with the Bifrost DAC. maybe nxt yr.

i also own a portapro, a visang r02 and a metrofi mf220 but sadly all of those had their due already
