Well , you have to understand that being a sports fan in America is different than how Pinoy sports fan treat sports and being a sports fan .

In America, they treat their team's superstar/s as WARRIOR/S . When their warrior decided to sign to another team or leave the city , they'll consider him as a traitor no matter what unless the team decides not to sign him due to salary cap . When DEREK FISHER asked to be traded to the Lakers because of his daughter , it was very understandable for the Jazz fans , although years later they began treating him as a traitor and a quitter and accused him as a "lier" .

In the Philippines , pinoy sports fans claims alot of WARRIORS as "theirs" .. During the Jordan era , everyone was cheering for Jordan . When Jordan left and there goes Kobe , everyone shifting to the Lakers . Pinoys are bandwagoners . They cheer to teams that has the most wins and whoever the "playoff contenders" .. When "their team" starts to lose and facing rebuilding , they will jump to another winning team .

In America , most fans only root to their own team and players who represent their city or state .. In Philippines , they root whoever the current superstar ! It's the same as the celebrities there , they "idolize" whoever the current star . If you go to the LA Clippers thread , some people starting to cheer for them because of Blake Griffin . I doubt if they really cheered for him when he played for the OKLAHOMA SOONERS . Same to the OKC Thunders thread too , I doubt if they cheered for them when the team was in Seattle .

I like FAQ post and I agree on what he said.

But Sir, we all know naman that Filipinos are bandwagoners. No one I think is denying that. Although I'm proud to say I'm not, loyal to the Bulls since birth. Pero tama ang uban here, medyo tiring na mag cge ta bash sa mga bandwagoners, I mean asa man ta padulong ani? Unsa man ato gusto ma achieve, we can't change anything, let them cheer for the team they like. As long as all of us are watching the NBA, the sport we all love.

sayon raman unta na sabton bha.. kitang mga pinoy wala ta nagpuyo sa US and so natural lang na nga wala tay permanent nga teams sa nba nga lunod patay jud ta ug supporta.. we are more of a player fan rather than a team fan... and its not fair comparing filipinos and american fans because we just enjoy the league with a lot of freedom kung asa ta musupporta unlike sa US nga if you are leaving for example sa boston then boston jud ka laban.. di bha simple analogy rana oie dili nana kailangan mag research pa para kahibaw ka kung unsay rason ana... here is one thing that im sure of. we love basketball and we play basketball... so we have one thing in common and that is the love for the game and who cares kung unsa ka nga team sa NBA as long as pinoy ka then basketball lover sad ka...

Ako I consider myself as a die hard fan of the Chicago Bulls.

I'm not in living in Chicago, only visited the place twice but I heart this team. Ambot ngano, after MJ left I'm still cheering hard for this team. I'm just happy we have Derrick Rose and we've been good for the last seasons. Hopefully we can win a title.

I get the point of FAQ about bandwagoners, as a matter of fact many of his points are same as mine. Maybe I just don't want to talk about bandwagoners as much as he does. Majority of Pinoys are bandwagoners, so can we now move on. What's the use of talking on something that is a known fact. I'd rather waste my time cheering for the Bulls.
