LibreOffice is actually openoffice
they are in the rebranding mode to move as they are not sure if Oracle will support the OpenOffice project.
from the document foundation website:
Q: And why are you calling the software "LibreOffice" instead of "OpenOffice.org"?
A: The OpenOffice.org trademark is owned by Oracle Corporation. Our hope is that Oracle will donate this to the Foundation, along with the other assets it holds in trust for the Community, in due course, once legal etc issues are resolved. However, we need to continue work in the meantime - hence "LibreOffice" ("free office").
The Good: No Oracle, LibreOffice is backed by novel, redhat, ubuntu and GOOGLE
Thanks ... I've been looking for a Linux User group here in Cebu now i found you guys. You just took a shelter here in istorya.net ...
Please count me in... daghan salamat kaayo.
hola mayng buntag.......
