Just a FYI:
You can only buy microsoft certified power supply units directly from support agents. Unfortunately that means if we are in ASIA the nearest support would be either xbox support team japan or singapore.
All power supplies sold on retail shops are not microsoft certified.
Thus, it would be at your own risk if you buy those. At least here in the Phil. we most likely do not have much choice man pud
And another thing,
The console should be plugged directly to a wall outlet. Because surge protectors, extensions, adapters, transformers. Will cause irregular flow or insufficient flow of electricity to the power supply and console. Thus gradually causing damage to it.
Kita diri sa Phil. naanad ta gamit ug transformer sa devices nato nga needed ana. Pero xbox is one of the most sensitive gadgets I've ever faced. Though I work here at xbox, di ko ka appreciate sa quality niya. Everything else is ok with it though.
Hello XBOX COMMUNITY ...
I am new to this game consoles and the likes .
I am in the market also to buy it as a gift for my 4 year old kid in April .
I know na explain na cguro ni siya but I am just to lazy to backread anf if anyone is kind enough to honestly make a contemplation for me and help me decide WHY I should buy XBOX 360 over PS3 . Unsay naa sa XBOX 360 na mas nindot sa PS3 etc. ANything nice pod sa PS3 is appreciated na wala sa XBOX360 i sulti na lang pod.
I want to know the overall verdict and I know bias man jud ang answers ninyo but at least its a firsthand experience since most of you guys are owners of XBOX360 .
Akong big concern lang gyud is that , the one who will be using it is me but most of the time kay the kid who is only 4 years old. My wife would probably use it also for fitness wise and etc. Basically akong choice of games would be Tekken , sports , IQ etc and the kid obviously mga childrens games and if naay educational mas nindot.
Are these available ?? I will be getting the console sa US pod and the games sad kay mahal diri sa Philippines kay naa daw regiona2 pa pod. Aron di ko ma confuse , buy the console there and all the games I ant adto pod and if new games arrives , magpadala lang .
Thanks in advance guys !

When it comes to hard core games, playstation exclusive type of games. PS3 is your console.
When you have kids and enjoys "controller free gaming" using kinect. XBOX360 is your choice.
also xbox controllers fit perfectly into your hand compared to ps3
these consoles have pros and cons but for me they are competitively equal.
First, ako lang sa isulti akong rason ngano ko nipalit ug 360. Ang rason nako kay 3rd party games kay mas nindot daw sa 360 compared to PS3. I'm talking about games like Skyrim. Second, online community, mas daghan tawo sa online. Especially ug Call of Duty na ang storyahan. Third, ug wala kaayo ni maka-apekto nako are the exclusives which I loved, especially Halo 4 gyud. Downside is you need to pay $60 per year to play online! Dili man ni problema nako sad. (Oh the irony, I'm not even a subscriber anymore. LOL. Unya na tngali)
About sa imung ganahan nga mga games bro kay multiplatform na gyud na siya. Tekken, Sports (NBA, FIFA, and etc.) Pero wala ko kahibaw anang educational games bro. Sa Wii daghan pero wala kaayo ko kadungog ug mga edu games for 360 and PS3.
So mga tawo nipalit ug PS3 kay nindot ilang exclusives and free online. For 360 sad kay naa silay exclusives and Kinect. Your choice gyud bro. Timbang timbanga lang.
Thank you for the inputs , libog gihapon ko .
What does KINECT mean? mao na ang naay sensor sa motion ?
Siguro educational games would inclue numbers , alphabets , shapes , color etc .... murag DORA or BLUES CLUES tyle biatw not sure if available ba hehehehe.

mao ni kinect sir ~ motion sensor sa xbox.
sa PS3 kay PS eye with the controller, PS move
Educational, Family multiplayer based games gyud naa sa xbox kinect as far sa ako nakitan with games varying from educational to skill. eg. Nickelodeon Dance 2, Dance Central 3, Nat Geo, Disneyland Adventures
. So mas mo lingaw kung daghan. Convenient kay walay bulky controller dad.on when playing. Tried it myself comparing to the PS3's motion sensor.
saying sa imo previous post na you need console who has games related IQ, Sports, Tekken, Educational..... Xbox360 is your compatible console choice.

Yes, that sensor. Kinect is Microsoft’s technology for motion-conrolled games. Similar to how Nintendo has the Wii remotes, and Sony has the Move and Eye. You’ll need the Kinect sensor to play motion-controlled games on a 360.
Motion-controlled games will definitely appeal to a 4-year old, and maybe your wife. There are a good amount of dance, exercise and fitness games that are available on both systems.
I’ve had limited experience on both the PS move and Kinect because I don’t have them and I’ve only tried them in some of my friends’ house. From my experience, both devices work fine as they are intended. I found Move to be tad more responsive compared to Kinect, but like the Wii remote, you can cheat the game by not doing exactly what you are supposed to do (just sit on the couch and waggle) and the game wouldn’t know about it. Kinect requires you to get up on your ass and do the exact body posture, which I find a little more engaging.
You’ll also have to look at software support for these devices. I’ve never had an in-depth look at the game library of Kinect and Move, but from what I’ve encountered and read online, Kinect seems to have sold more because it is the much more supported device between the two.
I personally find the controller-free solution that Kinect offers suitable for children. Not only is it easier for them, but also easier on your wallet because there is no controller for them accidentally throw and break. And from what I have observed, there seems to be something about controller-free games that amazes them.
Tekken and most of the Sports games are multiplatform releases (released on both consoles), so you won’t have any trouble with that. And despite the 360 being the less powerful console compared to the PS3 (although, the gap is not that big), there is virtually no difference in the quality of multiplatform games. Some games even manage to look and play better on the 360 than on the PS3.
What you’ll have to look at are the exclusive games they each have. I’m not going to say which one has better exclusives. You’ll have to look at the games yourself and see which appeals more to you.
If you are interested in games from Japan, the PS 3 is currently the preferred home console of Japan, so there are more of them on the PS3.
When you want to play online, you’ll have to pay for a subscription on the 360, while on the PS3, playing online is free. I don’t game heavily online, but here are my experiences: In the 1 year I have used it, online on the 360 is fairly reliable (which should be, since it’s paid). While on the PS3, I’ve encountered a few hiccups here and there when playing online, but nothing intolerrable.
Good choice. You can’t go wrong with this.
Hardware or System Specs sa PS3 is slightly above the XBOX.. cannon fooder said the most na... so you really can't go wrong w/ choosing between the two..
In summary, IMHO:
PS3 : free online gaming, SLIGHTLY higher specs, some exclusive games, for hardcore gamer = FUN ...
XBOX : friendly controller, some exclusive games, games for the whole family in all ages = MORE FUN..
Post nya bro sa imo final decision![]()
