This is the Banded Rainbowfish, scientific name is (Melanotaenia trifasciata) this is the real bearer of the species name " trifaciata ".
This is the Western Rainbowfish, scientific name is (Melanotaenia australis) this species is mislabelled as the " trifaciata" which is incorrect.
