I wouldn't recommend this type of walling in a hedgie's cage. it's too dangerous for them, plus they could easily climb up & escape from this cage.

if you put coroplast on the side of the wall they will not be able to climb, the advantage of this kind of cage is that it is customizable, and it can be bigger and more space for them to play and live, the challenge is that how you will find the materials needed for this cage ^^,and the nice part is that u can have 2 levels of this C&C the 1st floor is where you put his items like (food, xtra supplies,etc..)

    somewhat like this :

and ramps is not really neccessary with hedgehogs but if u like u can do something like this,it will help them climb up without the risk og falling down ^^ :

but any suggestions regarding for a cage??i'm looking also for other alternatives because the materials are really hard to find here in cebu ^^..tnx

But there are hyper hedgies that would really find ways to climb on a corner of a cage despite the cover being placed. The ramp is ok. As long as the wall is not screen type though. Their feet could get caught with one of the holes.

I agree, I'm planning to set up a higher wall made of coroplast but not to high so that there is still a part where i can see him.. ^_^..and also the flooring is made of coroplast so that his feet won't stuck on the cubes..any suggestions on the bedding which is more advisable aspen beddings or fleece?.thx ^^

Ok thanks,I think I'll go with Aspen, fleece needs to be wash every week i guess...and aspen is much easier to clean and dispose,..hehehe

try Caminade pet shop or other petshops, if they do not have Aspen, they have other available for hedgie beddings. I am using Chipsi. It keeps the bin odor free for days.

If you could buy aspen, check for any sharp parts in it as this will cause hedgie feet to bleed. also their nose as they love digging their noses in the bedding.
