i beg to disagree.. there are more factors to consider than just land area.. look at Indonesia, they have 20++ modern supersonic multirole jet fighters (a mixture of F-16's and Su-27's) and they are 6x larger than us in terms of land area

Our neighbors Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and etc naa naba clay external threat ?

Also it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the improvements of an Airforce... just take a look at the aircraft inventory.. or modernization of the avionics.

They have, what, two major airbases on the island. Some of their major highways can be converted into runways in the event of war. A number of their planes are based abroad.

They fully subscribe to the Latin saying, Si vis pacem, para bellum. If you want peace, prepare for war.

Flanker, I believe Malaysia is phasing out the Mig-29s. They will withdraw all aircraft from service by the end of this year.

just because we don't have advance aircraft we think that there are no improvements? i ive said before we dont have external threat to focus and the AFP knows that,,our foot soldier sir is a capable as or even better that our Asian neighbors isn't that enough to be proud of? they can now see in the dark..they now have good communication and navigation equipment, gps is not new to them....not to mention last year yata 6 ka PA's ACV 300 arrive...our navy have 3 jacinto class boats went to upgrade one by one..dili na nato e appreciate? and maybee ur airforce can have sokol utility heli variant soon...slowly but surely we are improving we should be proud of that,,,

i am proud of our soldiers and i know they will fight to the death with whatever they have to perform their duties. i am saying the AFP deserves better equipment, newer aircraft and seacraft. if your logic that we don't need jet fighters because there is no external threats, why then so many countries without external threats maintain a well equipped inventory of aircraft?

i am proud of our soldiers and i know they will fight to the death with whatever they have to perform their duties. i am saying the AFP deserves better equipment, newer aircraft and seacraft. if your logic that we don't need jet fighters because there is no external threats, why then so many countries without external threats maintain a well equipped inventory of aircraft?

we have a very limited resources so it's about priorities. Naa man plano mopalit ug mga chada nga mga fighter jets pero di pa karon. Ila gifocus ang mga eroplano pang COIN which is what we need ATM

And to military contribution and experience, our soldiers are better at that than other neighbouring countries. Not to mention all the successful victories we had during World war 2 without US's help. We might not have the planes. or the helicopters. but we have the Men. And dont forget we are a democratic country. If ever ma invade ta. help from another democratic country will come.
