calling experts out there, maybe you can help me out...

The rig is Kanger Protank on eVic. I've learned to coil this setup, and I'm extremely happy with the VTF.

These are the steps to method I use:
- torch 2pcs. of 2mm silica
- torch 5.8mm of 32ga. kanthal to remove the springy properties
- weld 32ga copper wire to each end to make non-resistance legs (using 32V 2000uF)
- wrap it like a "micro-coil" with twists touching
- dry burn it, and test the glow
- I add a piece of 1mm silica sometimes as a flavor wick, depending on the thickness of the juice. But most of the time I do not need to.

On the Protank, it will usually end up as a 2.3ohm coil, which is perfect on the eVic. I set the device to 8.8W and it will fire it at 4.40V, which is right for me using Mom&Pops Pichela's 5-layer 5mg, or slightly less at 7.5W when using Dekang Blueberry 6mg.

Now this setup really works, and that is not the problem. The problem is the coil not lasting more than a tank or two. I try to clean the coil and dry burn it, but the coil just doesn't taste the same after 2-3 days.

Is this normal? Because, although its easy enough to do, I certainly do not see the point re-coiling it every 2 or 3 days.

it's the juice. pchela's is 50-50 pg vg. i know cuz i've been vaping that before. sounds about right. my builds used to last me about the same, 2-3 days. either start dripping, or change juice. find something that's 70-30 or pure PG. VG when burned tends to accumulate gunk on the coil. taking it out and torching it will fix it for a while, but that's about all that you could do.
