I don't think nasayop ang thread starter sa title but I believe the present title would still be preferable than the alternative titles you mentioned that will surely fuel more rift when unchecked. Besides from what I observe here, the Davao culture is not keen at stooping to just mere competion with any city much more with CDO, from what I observed the culture here people don't stoop to such or even having to resort to sowing intrigue or backbiting another city. If we ever criticize, it's based on facts also.

The accolades given to Davao: among 3 best sites in the world for BPO/ICT business, 5th best in Asia for human resource, one of Asia's most livable city, among the cleanest and greenest, best chamber of commerce, most number of indigenous communites, largest in land area, AIM's most competitive city for 2007, best potable water in the country, etc. were given simply because it's a fact and other than merely competing with others, people would rather seek for higher standards for themselves and their city when it can be achieved, simple as that.

Ang nakaapan is other forumers in CDO resort to making false statements like daghan na daw condominium sa ila, or even mudslinging at condo living with clear sourgraping nga batasan, or claiming to be premier city by 2010 (duh it's a fact na kuno) basing on yet to be constructed buildings just so to try hard to compete (we're not interested competing with CDO) even to the point of inaccuracy. Obviously the Davao forumers would demand accuracy then CDO forumers would attempt to hit-and-run magpalusot dayon sa ka-cheapan nga opinion ra (even saying they don't mention any city daw with their negative posts but obviously malicious ang approach against Davao) because they fail to present tangible facts to what they're bragging, in comparison that anybody notices Davao forumers here try to make statements about their city as factual as possible.

By the way, no Dabawenyo is forcing the CDO forumer to live in Davao, what a ridiculous statement. And if other forumers just could not understand why the Davao side defend and react to the outright inappropriateness and inaccuracy then such forumers probably do the same contemptous actions.

Wala na mali si Patrick Mike ug himo aning thread, kay ang iyang purpose kay mag-inquire sa mga taga Mindanao asa ang nindot puy-an sa Mindanao. Ang problema man gud kay naay mga forumer from a particular place in Mindanao nga naga post ug mga statments like:

This is probably one of the reasons why Hanjin chooses Misamis Oriental (not in CDO city). Is it because some people are childish when it comes to argument/reasoning? Technically, Korea is closer to MisOr than Davao. Look at the map and find out how much "shipping" distance is required if they opted to Davao. Secondly, Phividec is already in Tagoloan and the biggest (or 2nd biggest) container port in Pinas is just close by. Find out what's in Phividec and do your research.

For the sake of keeping a child stop whinging, ok Davao wins

To be frank, this actually occured but the authorities immediately worked on it and drove them away. It is a very isolated case that occured in a rural area and obviously cannot be generalized with the very peaceful scenario of Davao considering the city area is so large and vast at 244,000 hectares.

Pero kung ma-generalize na gani then that's where the inaccuracy comes. Then birahan advertise dayon niya ang CDO obviously at the expense of Davao nga unethical kaayo. The recent events in Lanao only show that anything can happen so nobody there can claim that theirs is safer compared to Davao. Even with such recent events and political situation, by location Davao right now may probably be safer than that city iyang gimemention so mali gyud iyang gibuhat pag-post ato what a bitter lesson to be learned.

Besides Davao has among the lowest in crime rate not just in the country but in Asia. I even went to Kadayawan last night and frankly it's safe against snatchers and bad elements bisan daghan kaayo tao and don't have to feel nervous with cellular phone nga lisod bation if nasa uban major or smaller cities in the country, and to consider that Davao's population is large, not to mention the cleanliness maintained even with such large crowd. The Kadayawan celebration also manifest the appreciation, strong friendship and relationship between Christians and Muslim cultures here, and also with the indigenous communities.
