Gentlemen, I am a fan of this thread and I always make it a point that I visit this everytime I visit ISTORYA (which is like.... ever 6 hours) and i must say that I must say that the enthusiasm and energy present with each and every one of you here is really way up there. Having noticed that you really love photowalks and practicing photography, please allow me to make some recommendations. You may or may not consider this...:

- Before diving to the real world, i suggest that you hold first a sort of a seminar or a forum where you will first discuss the principles and techniques associated with the type of photo-session that you plan to do. This way, you will know the principle first before applying them. I'm sure there are still newbies like me in the group that will benefit alot from the discussion. If you cant get a speaker (paid one) then just do an open forum where everyone can share their learnings and research done. WHY RESEARCH DONE? this brings me to the second recommendation,

- schedule the forum ahead of time and set the specific type of photography you plan to do for the photo-walk so that everybody can research first. This will allow interaction during the open forum, and that will make the session more meaningful as everybody will participate.

- Study the weather pattern before scheduling the photowalk. This is critical so as to make sure that your schedule will materialize and reduce frustration on the part of some members. The right schedule determines the success of the planned photo-walk...

Addendum to my last post:

As for the location, i would recommend the mactan route:

1.) Old Bridge (Underneath this bridge is an old dilapidated boat)
2.) New Bridge (You will never ran out of subject and opportunities there)
3.) Magellan's shrine (Magnificent especially during dusk)

that idea will be tackled soon since the group is not yet polished as of now. our officers are even temporary yet. that's why as you may have noticed, the members are just giving their individual ideas to the extent of their basic understanding to come up with an activity that shall make the group lively, and have learning in a little way. anyway, surely your idea will be applied soon since it is good and should be done for the fast improvement of the members.

thank you for the observation sir and for the suggestion as well, that's actually where we are leaning at right now, from the pioneering meeting we have come up to the idea of conducting workshops every now and then, and consider each members to be speakers and if time permits we'll invite speakers in the long run... for now we will have to formalize things first in the club, then set straight for the workshops and seminars.. and we will be very greatful to have you as one of the speakers if you schedule allows... albeit, thanks for the concern and suggestions.. hoping to hear from you more.. as it will really help us improve..
