you are also right... but let me speak from the point of experience lang kay most of the abductions are done by the military. i was among those who were rounded up (back in president aquino's time) by the military and illegally detained and some of us were taken some place else. daghan nawala namo that time nga hangtod karon wa gihapon hikit-i. i am among those 4 witnesses to the case (still pending and unresolved to date).

I and my uncle had been with the underground in the past (my name is still in the military dossiers today) and again, i'd like to speak from experience nga it is not the nature of the NPAs to abduct their legit supporters. it's not only poor Sun Tzu or psywar strategy but is is also illogical.

To abduct their "own kind" if you may, is like wearing or wasting down one's propaganda machinery. militants like jonas (if he ever was from the NPA) are the underground's legit fronts to advance their political agenda in mainstream politics...and it doesn't figure why NPAs would have to resort such silly strategy (propaganda-wise or tactics-wise).

the nearest theory or perhaps the most tenable strategy for NPAs to do is to orchestrate or stage abductions.
this happened many times in Northern Luzon and some parts of Eastern Visayas (Marcos & Aquino regime) where militants hide in the mountains so as to blame the military of the sudden disappearances.

who knows, jonas may still be alive somewhere if we were to buy this theory.

But as it looks...jonas case is a real deal.

Yes we could. But why? if we're going to "play" with this scenario, what could be some reasons for the NPA to abduct Jonas? I can't think of any.
