RECENT STUDIES FIND POSSIBLE LINK BETWEEN LOW VITAMIN D LEVELS DURING PREGNANCY AND ADHD SYMPTOMS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD

Vitamin D status during prenatal brain development may influence risk of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms in childhood, according to two recent studies.

The studies, published in the Australia & New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry and Epidemiology, indicate that higher maternal circulating levels of vitamin D in pregnancy are associated with lower risk of developing ADHD-like symptoms in childhood, and suggest a protective effect of prenatal vitamin D.

GLUCOSAMINE SUPPLEMENTS AND REGULAR WALKING MAY IMPROVE OSTEOARTHRITIS SYMPTOMS
With advancing age and wear and tear on the joints, it is still important to keep active. Research has shown that regular walking in conjunction with glucosamine supplementation may improve symptoms associated with mild to moderate hip or knee osteoarthritis.
The results of a clinical trial published in Arthritis Research and Therapy suggest that supplementing with glucosamine and taking regular walks can improve pain, physical function, and overall activity levels in adults with mild to moderate knee or hip osteoarthritis.
In people with mild to moderate hip or knee osteoarthritis, walking a minimum of 3,000 steps (approximately 30 minutes) at least 3 days per week, in combination with glucosamine sulfate, may reduce some symptoms of osteoarthritis.

Usana CoQuinone 30 is combination of 2 ingredients: the Coenzyme Q10 and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10 is found in the mitochondria of most cells in our body. CoQ10 plays an important role in energy production processes; therefore high concentrations are present in the organs with the highest energy requirements, particularly the heart, kidney and liver.

CoQ10 has also been shown to possess strong antioxidant properties. In addition to that it is able to regenerate and recycle another potent antioxidant in the body, particularly Vitamin E. Because levels of CoQ10 decrease with age, the enzyme has been researched in relation to ailment associated by aging.
