@hozenyan: You seem to harbor a serious dislike of the USA. That's okay, because it's a personal opinion. But I wonder... Do you have real life experience outside of the RP? You've visited America, right? Or maybe you are just a smart ass college kid with big ideas about the world, and how everything would be fine if the World's leaders would only listen to you. I find a lot of your remarks insulting and off-topic. This is an open forum, true enough.. but if you walk up to a guy and openly insult his mother, don't be surprised when he knocks you out.

As for the topic question, it is pretty much a done deal that the Democratic Party is going to field either a Black or a female candidate for the Presidency. Voters in the US generally vote along party lines, regardless of the race or gender of the candidate. The presidential race itself will be a close one, regardless of color or ***. In any case, the American people are ready for a change.

i personally think it would only be insulting if anything i claimed wasn't true... i even assume some Americans would agree with some stuff i said, except for the hoping of getting you dudes deeper into the mess you created part of course. According to vern my opinion resembles hollywood. And are the issues i brought up not part of the platforms the current candidates have? how is it off topic then?

however, this is OT: well, i admit i wasn't very sensitive with my "phrasing", but still, i'd say that next time, when being insulted by another mans opinion, you should debunk it, instead of creating condescending assumptions about my life.
I didn't know i have to actually go to america to be allowed to form an opinion and dislike your policies, by that logic i assume i can't call apartheid a bad thing without having been in south Africa back then, right?

real life experience outside RP? what does this even mean? is life here not real enough?

"A plug from Winfrey can turn a book into a best-seller and a movie into a blockbuster. But does the Oprah effect hold true for politics too? Can Winfrey's blessing turn a candidate into a president?"

    ABC News

I don't think Oprah's endorsement on Obama can make that much of a difference on the latter's chances to become president.

    what do you guys think?

to Hozenyan: You DO need to get some real life experience before you can claim moral high ground with your snide remarks. You seem to be so happy that the US is experiencing hard times at the moment. Should I make make caustic remarks about the RP with its millions of poor, bled dry by a government deemed one of the most corrupt in the world? No way, because I have compassion for those who are suffering, regardless of their government. Why not be at least a little sympathetic to the current situation in America. America has given hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to your country and you dare speak with such callous insensitivity? You are a kid that has spent his entire life on an island. You haven't seen anything, yet. I was driving a patrol car in one of the toughest cities in America when you were still a baby drinking warm milk. What have you done in your young life so far...? Besides watching Wowowee and going to the internet cafe, that is..

    OT @ Russo

Oh please... am i supposed to show compassion because your government, your chosen leaders screw up? How can you compare your struggle for Power which you conceal with claims to spread democracy, with the social situation in the Philippines? Once again you didn't debunk anything i said... not one friggin thing. Basically in a nutshell all you are saying is that you are a super hero and i am a Philippine peasant, who can't afford a PC. nice....

You say you have compassion? no dude.. you have a false sense of superiority, thats about it Why do i have to justify my opinion with my achievements? I don't need to list all i have done and all the places i have been to make a valid point.

And then this rambling about how i should be a little sympathetic to the US of A because you send some dollars ove the Pacificr. Hell yes, why not, because you send my government money, i as an individual, am not allowed to criticize and rejoice a little bit in your hypocrisy? Take amusement in the mess your government created? tsss... So according to you, all these US tax dollars were given to RP out of compassion? and i thought it was for maintaining a close ally and strategical location in this region of the world... silly me..

Why do you get so pissed off when some random pinoy peasant from the intarweb rips off your beloved home country... which you patrol in... in taff cities and stuff and whch you have to mention.. to make a point...? I mean you probably are of pinoy descend ( just assuming this because you are browsing here) yet, you claim racial high ground because of your location. hehe ... I like it

hozenyan: Yeah, I have a right to talk to you as a punk because you appear to be one. You can't seem to distinguish between a nation's GOVERNMENT and its PEOPLE. It's the American PEOPLE who you should have compassion for, just as you would for your own countrymen in a crisis situation. I never said you were a peasant, and I don't care about your social class. But, you ARE a disrepectful loudmouth. I am senior to you in age AND experience and you should spend more time trying understand the points that I am making, INSTEAD of preparing your next volley of sarcastic assaults. You downplay my experience as a cop as if it were nothing. Would YOU have the courage to put on a uniform and fight for something you believe in? You wouldn't last 5 minutes on the street in any rough city in America. I doubt that you would have the courage to open your little mouth, let alone utter a word of harsh criticism. I wonder if you are this obnoxious when you speak to people face to face. Hmmmm... I seriously doubt it. This is probably just your computer personality I am seeing, right? And by the way, you haven't made any FACTUAL statements for me to "debunk" ( wrong word.. pull out your English dictionary). Let's leave it at that. If you want to meet to discuss things like adults, it's easy to find me. Maybe you could actually learn something if you listened for once - vince (is hozenyan your real name?)

Oh c'mon.. don't turn into a grammar nazi now because we use your native language for this little dispute

    OT:
Ok, first you say i should show compassion because your government sends my government money, I can vote in two countries, perhaps if you send my other home some money too, i'd go wear the us flag and waive a little "we are #1" flag thingy. And once again you need to go with your Police story. Dude, you risked your life for your community .. i get that, and you deserve all the respect and compassion from YOUR COMMUNITY, from your countrymen. The GESTAPO dudes also wore a uniform and fought for something they believed in. The fact that you served your community is not enough for me to overlook or ignore the current wrongdoings of your country. I know there are a lot of good people in the US of A, as there are in any country, but dude... for Clinton a ******* was enough to get an impeachment trial, your current administration screws up one thing after another, rides your country into that "crisis" i am supposed to show some compassion for and still all the good people don't want to rally and do something about it, because it's rainy.. and paris hilton is on the TV? No man, there's no compassion from me, if you vote another Idiot into office, if you people can be persuaded into a war by FOX news, then imho you do deserve to fall deeper into the mess you created. I assume the WMD are in Iran this time around?

But hey, sure.. lets meet and discuss things like adults, lets see how long it will take you to convince me that some selected people don't deserve to be under the Geneva Convention, that your sole purpose in the middle east is to spread democracy and freedom and that i shouldn't be pissed that that asshole you trained to fight against the communists now prevents me from bringing along a C2 Ice tea Bottle on an airplane.

no wait.. i've never been out of the country.... got to watch some wowowee now... ang go out from the internet cafe im currently in
