Bro/Sis..Na affected jud ko aning bag.ong balaod sa Sykes karon.

First of all, I am a sickly person, and I have been working with this company for sometime na. Infact, dire ra ko nagkasakit sakit as the years progress sa akong pag stay aning kompaniyaha. Thanks to being a callcenter agent, I had earn my head splitting migrained and back pains (pretty normal complaints among call center agents.)

Lately, Sykes, (I dont know if this is an ALL account and nationwide thing), would or have implemented already this ABSENTEEISM POLICIES: Which to me is totally SICK AND ANTI-EMPLOYEE jud..

First: They have said that with new ABSENTEEISM POLICY: IF you're TL would demand that you should work or come to Sykes (even if nag call naka sa OMD -"Operation Management Desk" and ni informed naka sa imong TL before) and if you don't concur to your TL's decision still, you would be charge with AWOL lang gihapon.

MY STAND: If pugson or muingon imong TL nga pa reporton jud ka sa work bsag gihilanat ka pag-au, then di ka motunga jud sa work, echarge ka nga AWOL naka.. bisan pa if ni call/txt ka nya ug sa OMD, to informed daan nga di ka motunga .

Why man tawn e.charge ka nga AWOL ka when in fact nanawag na gani ka sa OMD ug ni informed naka sa imong TL (Thru call/txt)? Isn't the term AWOL applied only to those who haven't really informed their supervisors why they are absent in the first place? IF ni follow ka sa normal protocol to advise them, ila gihapon ka e.AWOL. F*CK jud kau!!

Gusto sa imong TL nga pareporton ka, (bsag nagkamatay naka sa imong lawas) aron ma kita jud nila daw imong condition, they want to know if tinuoray ba jud imong g.excuse or not. Mag unsa man sad ka sa work if grabe jud kalain or kakapoy imong lawas?

I call this totally disrespecful ug distrustful sa employee. GRABE KA SLAVE DRIVERS ang uban TL, they're not going to accept whatever excuses you would tell them. IF sa akong part, gusto lang diay ko mupahuway or murest sa amo.a kay layo pud kaau sa sykes, then mag usik2x pa kog plete moadto ko sa work, then dili nila honoran.. WTF!

Ingon pa ang usa ka TL nako nga if continously sickly daw ka.. then maybe dili na ka fit to work ug mau pa di nalng ka mowork ug usa ka call center.

Can't they understand? naka sakit sakit ko tungod man lang sad kay all these years I've been working as a call center agent, my body have suffered all the hard rigors and pains, tungod pud sa work. Instead of them, taking care of their employees, especially the REGULAR ones, mao pa ni ilang e.sukli. Talking about ingrates ug INGRATONG MGA DAGKO! I have work and complied to all their craps and BS all this years in my stay sa SYKES, yet mao pa ni ilang ibuhat sa ilang mga employees? I don't know what the Labor Laws can do about this.. for me this is totally ANTI-EMPLOYEE welfare jud.!!

    rant ended!
RESIGN if wala naka ganahi. It's useless nga mo work unya kontra gusto. Try lain na call center or kanang work at home call centers or try another career.

Kung dili na ka happy, Resign! kay ikaw ra mag-antos!

Dapat ipakita sad sa mga employees that we don't need employers like that.

Usa ra solution aning inhuman nga law, Mass Resignation.

I guess the policy is just the company's way of reacting, okay to use the company's fish philosophy/seven habits/who stole my cheese thingy, it is just the company's way of "proactively" addressing the alarming rate of absenteeism that is rampant across the accounts.

Bro, I feel for you, but posting your grievances in forums will not alleviate the situation and address your concern, save for venting your frustration.

Talk it with them, your TL, your ever friendly HR, talk to Erna, Cherry, whoever.

    And attend orientation.

    BUT

If you really feel that the policy is against your health and if you are really developing health issues just by working there, then I believe it is your right to resign. Look for a better, greener pasture.

In the first place you applied for the job. The good thing about that company is that you can leave anytime, unlike others that held you to a bond.

NO I am not from Sykes, used to, been there. To compare them with others, aside from the low basic salary, they are still better, benefits-wise.

A word, be careful what you post here, some istoryan mods are from Sykes and they are very close to higher power.

sis/bro, balhin nlang sa bago na mga call center, there's a big chance na i-assign ka ug morning shift... or better yet.. balhin sa lxk na call center, apply sa non-Tech Support nga job.. hehehehe! not promoting here, just advising.. hehhehe!

btaw, ka bad gud nila aiii... as advised sad sa isa ka mgr. sa ako gi trabaho-an, kung dli jud ka nahan mo trabaho, ayaw jud.. pahulay.. kay if mo work ka nya ingon ana mo condition, you're NOT productive and would cause so much disturbance among fellow employees including the manager. like sa imo case, agent gud ka, you speak directly to customers, nah.. mag lalis palang mo sa customer nya pangalan gud na sa company imo gidala, dli lang ang ngalan nimo, so madaot jud... problema nimo, problema sa TL, problema sa manager, problema sa company... that's why if you're tired/sick/dont feel like working, take the day off jud... be sure your energized when you get back (kay tambak man ang work nig balik, aww sa imo dli diay... hehe!)
