Greece just ran out of magic, but they did gave Spain a scare, good fight by Greece, they should get past Lithuania should they continue the defensive intensity they showed against Spain.

But for Lithuania, either they qualify tom against Greece or not, I still believe they can still make it in the wildcards tournament next year prior to the Olympics.

But I still hope the Greeks qualify for the Olympics, to see a rematch between the United States.
I think the Greek Players matches pretty well against the Americans, they're not that tall but
their guards and forwards are very tall for their positions, and very agile, and remember that the guard and forward lineups of the Amercians are the heart and soul of their team; the Greeks may win some games and
lose some games in the Olympics, but they do match up pretty well against the Americans...

Greece's strength lies in their shooting..even their centers can shoot from way out..that was what they used to offset the Americans' advantage in athleticism...for sure it will be exciting to watch them play against the present US National Team

Host Spain had to settle for silver. JR Holden of Russia sank a game winning shot with 2.1 seconds left to give Russia it's first ever gold medal finish after Soviet Union had 14 during European tournaments. Andrei Kirilenko was named the MVP of the Eurobasket 2007. Holden's game winning basket was a climax and the highlight of how hard fought and unpredictable the European tournament is. After all, Spain was highly favored to win the crown after making it all the way to the finals.

Germany, Croatia and Slovenia all qualified for the pre-Olympics qualifying round next year.
