That's one pretty big family you have there to give you a better assessment of the situation. I may not agree with you but taking things in a general level is never conclusive.

Looked at how many posters thought they know everything about a country, its history or how people think, even IF they havent been there and their source of information are the news and anything theyve read in wikipedia.

Did you even bother to look at the economic indicators of the Philippines before you decided to claim that things are getting better? If you are an investor would you actually invest in the Philippines without knowing beforehand the data from the indicators?

They have professional advisers to tell them what to do. Anyway the reason why I brought them up is that they make up the minority yet have the biggest impact on the economy of a country. Yeah... the crime index is actually telling us things are getting better eh?

Singapore used to be part of Malaysia. Now, they're a first world country. Cebu has a bigger chance to become a first world country if only we can separate from this pathetic country. Ang Cebu mabuhi ra bisag separate sa Pilipinas. Cebu could easily surpass Manila and even the whole Philippines itself. Kasagaran sa major projects diri sa Cebu (3rd bridge, Bohol bridge, Mactan Intl. Airport, BRT, etc.) kay wala supportahi sa national government and most of these projects are very practical for the public. Ngano kaha? Basin hadlok sila nga mas mo gahi ang Cebu kaysa Manila.

history is as relevant as ever. they are only annexed to the UK by a certain legislation and conquest AGAINST their will. Scotland has always been treated as a foreign land, and NOT really a part of England that is why UNTIL NOW, the historic distinction of who is English and who is Scot always exist.

Just an autonomous status for Cebu would be better just like Catalonia and the Basque regions of Spain. We still get to enhance Cebuano language,culture and economic prosperity while retaining the being Filipino in us.
