Kung Tokyo compared to Singapore siguro. Osaka and Kyoto (i think) come in after that. Naka-adto ko sa Sapporo, and it was not as bad as bad as Tokyo (I think Hokkaido in general has the cheapest CPI in the country). Like I said before Fukuoka is probably the best bang for my buck, and Osaka, although is costly ghapon, dili siya pareha kamahal sa metro Tokyo. The problem is I barely know any Japanese na daan, Kansai dialect pajud sila sa Osaka. Osaka btw has a pretty good nightlife and shopping centers. Now if you REALLY have to go to Tokyo, I suggest going for the nearby cities like Yokohama or Saitama, ayaw nang sa Tokyo Metropolis ky ulbo jud imung kaspa sa ka mahal ( I know sagad gusto mu adto sa Japan ang target ky Akihabara, Shibuya ug Harajuku) . But be forewarned na mahal jud anywhere sa Kanto Region.

Like pointed out, maayo jud nga naa ky kaila or better yet someone who can offer you lodging, and another important thing is mind the peak seasons (off-peak is mga late November to March--so book then)--Kanang ting spring ug summer peak season na.

I spent a week in Tokyo and had around $800, about 61,000 yen (excluding hotel) . Yet i was almost broke by the end of the week. Meal was ok. Cost me around 30-40$ a day (McDo value meal, ramen noodles, tempura dishes, 711 and corner stores). But the bulk of my expenses is the transportation. For a 7 day rail pass it cost me about 400$.
