    any dslr can be used to produce good pictures
    and any dslr can be used for anything, and for anyone
    the d7100 has plenty of features...
    but it also features a Green Mode, and lots of scene modes...
    you want to shoot a flower, set the dial to flower scene.
    in that sense, the d7100 is easy to use. and
    in that sense, it does not require you to be familiar with iso, shutter speed, etc. in order to get a good shot
