Lets just wait and see what she can do. the council put her in the short list its because she is capable. so lets just pray that she must act and do the best she can to improve and repair the broken pieces of the SC negative atmosphere.

mr. aquino has done nothing illegal this time. neither delicadeza nor tradition is required by law. it is the sole prerogative of the president to choose the chief justice he so desires. let us all keep watch and make sure that the same standard we, the people, have applied to measure corona will also be used to measure the new chief justice.

I was not surprised that Noynoy Aquino selected Maria Lourdes Sereno as the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in order for him to consolidate his political power not just for his remaining four years of his term but also beyond.

I hope that our new Chief Justice should show not only her independence but also the entire Supreme Court's independence from the coercion of the executive branch.
