Hi Guys, It's nice to have you here... I have something to share... I incounter a rush project in Maryland last year. I made this only for 4 days and I only paid half.... when it has already 95% completed, the project was cancel due to small issue and now, they want to have the full source of the project... sad to stay. I wont give them the full source coz it's already done 95%. Now, they demand for something...

Flash is so 90s.

This is how I feel about Flash:

I view it as a personal failure that Flash collected the bronze medal for annoyance. It's been three years since I launched a major effort to remedy Flash problems and published the guidelines for using Flash appropriately. When I spoke at the main Flash developer conference, almost everybody agreed that past excesses should be abandoned and that Flash's future was in providing useful user interfaces.

Despite such good intentions, most of the Flash that Web users encounter each day is bad Flash with no purpose beyond annoying people. The one bright point is that splash screens and Flash intros are almost extinct. They are so bad that even the most clueless Web designers won't recommend them, even though a few (even more clueless) clients continue to request them.

Flash is a programming environment and should be used to offer users additional power and features that are unavailable from a static page. Flash should not be used to jazz up a page. If your content is boring, rewrite text to make it more compelling and hire a professional photographer to shoot better photos. Don't make your pages move. It doesn't increase users' attention, it drives them away; most people equate animated content with useless content.

Using Flash for navigation is almost as bad. People prefer predictable navigation and static menus.

well... if you think a black and white tv is better than a plasma tv.. then its your opinion.. hypothetically speaking, css is really nice but i don't think flash iisn't that bad. this guy from useit.com is bias and doesn't even have any idea what flash can do..

i beg to differ, this is more like saying "an apple is a fruit and should only be eaten straight from the tree"... this guy has to open his mind a bit.

i guess many people has a thing to say about what other peoples opinions and for that, i think thats good coz it broadens up the mind.

even if he finds flash to be dumb founding... id say there are alot of css users that too stupid to use them and too dumb to even comprehend what flash can even do.

for example the site you mentioned "http://www.useit.com/"... it may have alot of nice, good to read contents, but i dont see any impressive design on the site itself. in my opinion this guy is just trying to draw visitors to view his site through his content... well, same goes to designers who uses flash that uses design to draw attraction.

point is, there is no point =).. its just a matter of bias opinions and i guess this isn't really a thing to ponder coz people have the right to choose. be it content or design.
