The wizard Babidi manipulates Goku into thinking an eighth Dragonball exists on a parallel Earth protected by an invincible Kryptonian. The Super Saiyan crosses over dimensions and finds the Man of Steel inspecting a LexCorp satellite. Goku introduces himself by throttling Superman into the nearby moon.
since when has Goku learned how to breathe in space?

Shaking it off, Supes dodges the next couple of lunges, but his mysterious foe’s martial arts prowess and teleportation ability allows him to land more blows.
since when has Goku fought this way?

The Man of Steel proves to be able to absorb more punishment than the orange-clad bruiser, and surprises Goku with a couple of blasts of heat vision. Wanting to end the struggle, Goku rapidly teleports, landing a dozen blows to Supes in the span of a second.
Again, Goku cant breathe in space, and I dont remember him being able to land a dozen of blows in a span of a second

Not falling for the same trick, Superman’s super-vision detects a particle flux when Goku teleports, allowing him to anticipate where his foe will appear. As the Z Warrior winks out and reappears, Superman unleashes a haymaker, pounding Goku deep into the moon’s surface.
The Man of Steel demands an explanation of this assault, but Goku amps up to Super Saiyan mode and fires off a kamehameha blast that fries Supes like a fish stick!
Yet Superman has survived flying into the sun which is much more hotter, and has survived the explosion of a nuclear bomb while sitting in Kryptonite laced sand, absorbed ANTI-SUN energies that could take out the galaxy at the MINIMUM.

Pressing his attack, a furious Goku unleashes a planet-destroying punch that hits a stunned Superman square in the “S� shield, knocking him clear off the moon and back towards Earth.
planet destroying punch, wouldnt that have been useful against I dont know, Freeza, Cell, Buu. >_>

Realizing the fall might kill the Kryptonian, Goku teleports and catches Superman before he goes splat.
Superman has survived being blasted from the Earth to the Moon by MAGICAL flames, and magic is one of Supermans weakness. Why woudl this kill him all of a sudden?

It is then that Goku senses there are no such Dragonballs on this Earth. Apologizing for his dishonor, Goku humbly begs for forgiveness before heading back to his own dimension to take out the lying Babidi. Puzzled at what had just happened, a woozy Superman collapses unconscious, awaiting medical attention.

The funny thing dude is that you don't analyze things...what you see/read is what you learn. I know you read a lot superman comics and clearly his powers are all there. In DB/DBZ/DBGT series and manga..the authors let you USE your imagination and ANALYZE things....

And please, DBZ is probably one of the simpliest manga/anime out there. Im sorry but, if DBZ made you analyse somethings and not getting it off the bat then you are well, not very bright. Im sorry, if there is a manga/anime out there that would make one analyse, its Hunter X Hunter, 666 Satan(a bit)...well, I cant think of any others, but DBZ is far from being one of the stories that would make you think hard.

GT is not canon
and seriosuly, its horrible. I watched some episodes yesterday and today, and its bad.
Why did Gohan lost his Mystic abilities? And why is everyone so weak all of a sudden?

final breakdown:

Strength: Superman(moved more than just mountains)
Durability: Superman(taken Galaxy Busters)
Speed: Superman(capable of moving 99% lightspeed inside Earth and 8x the speed of light in space)
Fighting Skills: Goku(I will give him that, since most of the time he ahs to fight his opponents toe to toe while Superman goes out to get the job done as quickly as possible)
Stamina: Superman(living solar battery that absorbs Solar and starlight energy constantly)

Goku looses.

okay2x here some points in DBZ and its no crap...

In Dragonball Z Light speed is reached there are several ways of looking at this

*Vegeta was able to sense the ginyu force coming there ship was a syain spaceship which seems to be faster then light, and Vegeta could not detect Freeza form 4's movments when he fought him se that would make him FTL..Gokou SS1 beats Freeza butt big time. (But like you said its not stated "99.9% Light speed inside Earth and 8x outside Earth" in the manga...you analyze it.)

* Gotenks circled the earth but you could see his chi trail chi is made of light (as proven during the yakon fight) so it would move at the speed of light for his trail to still there he would have to be moving at about 10c... is in DBZ Vol.24 (DB Vol.40), Page 139. (do i have to scan this page like you always do....if you don't believe me...ask Toriyama) --- (Gokou SS3 is slighty higher than Gotenks.l).

* In the anime however, King Kai could not sense Goku and Freeza fighting. and he could easily sense faster than light spacepods.

About Buu...

Super Buu was the strongest..the reason he absorbed Gohan and the others. But when he turned to Kid Buu..still he was still strong, but slightly lower to Super Buu. Kid Buu even pushed back the Super Spirit Bomb which the most powerful attack in DBZ.

Gohan didn't lost his Mytic Powers at GT its just he doesn't like fighting. So he didn't trained his power like what Vegeta and Gokou always do.

Lastly, I think didn't understand my last statement... Gokou teleported all the people going to New Namek before Kid Buu destroyed Earth..this was at Buu Saga..not GT. Now thats power.


End results... Goku kicks Superman tight A$$ big time.

Superman. Gokou doesn't stand a chance if Superman doean't hold back. Given that they both have a good reason to beat each other up.
