kay kani akong ge palit naglisud ko ug solos pics kay tungod subra kaayo zoom kinahanglan mo keep ko daku distance to get better pics kung naa ta suok suok dili maayo jud para naku..

finally naka decide na jud ko unsa lens akong e keep .. i bought three lens and end up getting the first choice that i post before EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM kay all around lens dili sha daku ug bug-at unya dili naku sige ilis ug lens.. i think i made my decision.. thanks for the help guys..

okay so let me get this straight..

gusto ka lens pang portrait nga "all-around" na dili ka mag ilis2x these lens comes in mind

18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 <-- the "all around" for crop sensor nya di na pud ka cge ilis plus with OS(optical stabilizer) but average quality in picture wise, a little noisy. (21.2oz)

24-105mm L f/4<-- good range for walk around lens, top of the line picture quality, for portrait is has a good range, with stabilizer but sa crop body I fear nah basin ma bitin ka sa wide ug sa telephoto range (23.7oz)

28-300mm L f/3.5-5.6 <-- full frame sensors (5D and 1Ds) all around lens, like the 24-105 with optical stabilizer and quality wise (being a L lens) with more zoom but a little heavier and like the 24-105 basin ma bitin ka sa wide (60oz.)

it all boils down sa unsa gud imu gusto i.shoot.. don't rush buying gears.. good gears does not always mean a better photo (same lang sa photoshop... many hours processing a picture does not always means good picture... hehehehe), some might say "ang indian dili ang pana".. hehehe.. but there's nothing wrong with getting the best gears it's just saying nah it takes two to tango, and naa nah nimo to help you bring the best out of your gears. {I hope I make sense}

@p chan to tell you the truth nahan ko sa EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM peru maglisud ko take pictures labi na sa sulod sa building gamay ra kaayo space and i need it now.. mao naka decide ko to stick to the 24-105mm peru sunod naku paliton kay kana(EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM) nasad puhon maka save ko kwarta, kung naa pay taas nga zoom mao na akong paliton kung puydi less F ug L -series nga lens sa canon... i know is expensive but its worth it... i try it already and i love it.. is worth a penny sharp jud sha kuha.. ang mga L series lens good quality jud.. my photographer friend told me nga wala jud all around nga lens daw once mo palit daw ka lens sige sige na jud ka palit.. unsaon nalang maka addict ni bisyuha og mahal pa jud ning bisyuha

from what i read in ur replies chanel i can make two clear cut suggestion.

get the 18-200IS canon or 18-250OS sigma for canon.

why? coz its clear u lack the knowledge and experience and purpose to handle those expensive L lenses.
the 18-200/18-250 are all around lenses and they are much cheaper than the L lens making them a good keeper and travel lenses. even if u end up upgrading and buying those L lenses, you can still keep and make use of the all around lenses during travels where u dont want to bring many lenses.

the all around lenses 18-200/18-250 offer what you need. 1) great range u can zoom very far away 2) no lens changing needed
