Isang matagumpay na taktikal na opensiba ang isinakatuparan ng isang yunit ng Alfredo Cesar Command (NPA-Ilocos Sur) noong ika-4 ng hapon ng Hunyo 13, 2005 ng ambusin nito ang mga elemento ng C Coy 50th IB PA sa Sitio Bessang, Barangay Malaya, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur.


Ang labanan ay umabot ng 45 minutos na nagresulta sa pagkasawi ng 9 na sundalo ng 50th IB at pagkasugat ng 3 pa. Kabilang sa nasugatan ang CO ng yunit ng kaaway na si Lt. Lattay. Nasamsam din ang pitong M16.


Ang mga pasistang sundalo ay nakasakay sa isang 6 x 6 na trak militar at nagtungo sa erya upang nagsagawa daw ng clearing operation.


Nakumpirma ito ng isang yunit ng ACC na agarang nagplano ng isang taktikal na opensiba laban sa paunang puwersa ng kaaway. Masusing pinag-aralan ng mga pulang mandirigma ang tereyn at itinakda nila ang pinakamahusay na ambush site. Masigla na nakipagtulungan ang mamayan ng Cervantes at Quirino para sa pagkumpleto ng datos para sa TO na ito.


Ang taktikal na opensiba ay paggawad ng kaparusahan sa berdugong 50th IB dahil sa walang habas na paglabag nito sa karapatang pantao at lantarang pandarahas nito sa mamayan ng Quirino at Cervantes, Ilocos Sur at sa iba pang bahagi ng probinsya ng Ilocos Sur at Ilocos Norte. Tulad na lamang ng tangkang panggagahasa sa isang 14 taong estudyante sa Legleg, Quirino noong Abril at ang tuloy-tuloy na harassment sa mga masa sa iba’t ibang baryo ng Quirino. Mahaba na ang listahan ng pagabuso nila sa karapatang pantao (kapwa ng masa at NPA) at mga paglabag nila sa CARHRIHL.


Isang kahayupan ng 50th IB ay ang karumaldumal na pagsasalaula nito sa mga bangkay ng mga Pulang mandirigma na napapatay sa labanan. Tulad na lamang ng ginawa sa bangkay ni Randy “Ka Miko” Ramos noong Abril 26. Isang tama lamang ng bala sa kanyang kaliwang dibdib ang kumitil sa kanyang buhay. Pero nang makuha ng mga kaanak nito ang kanyang bangkay ay tadtad ng tama ng bala ang kanyang tiyan.


Ang mga mersenaryong tropa na ito ay nagsisilbi rin sa interes ng mga imperyalistang kumpanya ng mina na nagbabalak pumasok sa Quirino at iba pang bahagi ng Ilocos at Cordillera. Upang maihanda ang madaling pagpasok ng mga ito, ang 50th IB ay nagkakampo sa mismong sentro ng baryo tulad ng ginawa nila sa Lamag, Quirino. Nagsasagawa sila ng mga propaganda tungkol sa diumano’y kabutihang idudulot ng mga kumpanya ng mina. Sa isang pulong masa noong April 28, 2005 sinabi mismo ni Lt. Col Pasyon (CO ng 50th IB) na papasok ang mga kumpanya ng mina sa Quirino at dapat suportahan ito ng mga mamamayan ng lokalidad. Mariin itong tinutulan ng mga elders. Pinipilit pa nilang papirmahin ang mga mamamayan ng isang blankong papel bilang pagpapatibay ng kanilang pagpayag sa pagbubuwag ng kanilang organisasyon. Pero tinunggali ito ng mga mamamayan.


Ang matagumpay na taktikal na opesiba ay magsisilbing babala sa mga tropa ng berdugong AFP. Ang mga pandarahas sa mamamayang Pilipino ay mapagpasyang wawakasan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapaigting pa ng Digmang Bayan. #

Jored and I have a tactical alliance. Once we will oust Gloria, we can negotiate who will be President. I have no problem Teddy Casino, Renato Reyes or Nat Santiago for President and Ka Roger as NPA Chief of Staff.

Revolutionary movement in Bicol reaps victories



The entire revolutionary movement in Bicol reaped successive victories from 2001 to 2004. It has surpassed its peak strength achieved in mid-1987 in terms of building the Party, the NPA and the NDF.

Party membership has grown among workers in the cities.

The NPA has likewise gained more strength in the region, and has expanded the number of its platoons. Every year, the NPA in Bicol was able to launch over 70 big and small tactical offensives and seize over 100 high-powered firearms annually. It was able to wipe out the equivalent of a company of AFP-PNP-CAFGU fascist elements and was likewise able to mete punishment on bad elements.

The NPA in Bicol was able to form a number of new companies yearly based on an ever-widening and ever-deepening organized mass base. Membership in mass organizations expanded by 35% in the last three years, almost reaching its previous peak strength.

The region has been implementing the minimum program of land reform and has been launching mass campaigns along this line. It has reduced land rent in over 35,000 hectares of land, benefiting over 10,000 families in the countryside.

Various organs of political power, such as people's organizing committees, full-fledged mass organizations and barrio revolutionary committees have been established in significant parts of the region in the vast countryside. They serve as the seeds of the People's Democratic Government which is continuously being established up to the municipal level.

The basic alliance of the revolutionary forces has grown stronger. Consequently, the middle forces in the countryside and in the cities are continuously being encouraged to organize their ranks and to wage mass actions in unity with the toiling masses. Likewise, small and middle capitalists are encouraged to join the patriotic alliance against imperialist globalization which is battering their livelihood.

Church people and professionals are becoming involved in various aspects of revolutionary work. Among their ranks are lawyers and media people who firmly oppose the state's repressive measures not only in the region but natiowide.

More and more people are grasping the need for armed struggle and have been extending direct support to the NDF, NPA and CPP.

Likewise, various forms of alliances and cooperation are being built among different nationalist, patriotic and revolutionary forces and the alliance with certain sections of the ruling class is being advanced to expose, isolate and topple the US-Macapagal-Arroyo regime.

The revolutionary movement and the Bicolano people are likewise prepared to oppose armed intervention by US troops and the threat of a war of aggression through people's protests and guerrilla warfare.

The revolutionary movement and the people of Bicol look forward to even bigger and more resounding victories in the years to come. This is the region's contribution to the Filipino people's struggle to achieve a truly free society.

NPA rebel killed in Isabela clash

A suspected member of the New People's Army (NPA) was killed by the military in an encounter in San Agustin, Isabela early Monday, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group reported.

The military did not name the fatality who was killed in the clash in Barangay Bautista in San Agustin.

Members of the Philippine Army's 54th Infantry Battalion were conducting combat patrol in the barangay when they chanced upon at least 50 armed men suspected to be NPA rebels, the report said.

A one-hour firefight ensued that resulted in the death of the unidentified rebel.

His body was recovered by the military troopers during mopping up operations. Soldiers also recovered two M-16 rifles.

Pursuit operations are ongoing against the other rebels who were able to escape.
