Well then, Cebu needs more people that think like you... If politicians only had your determination to see things through and plan way ahead, then Cebu would be an "Island in the Pacific" as Lito O. envisioned it, and not just the "2nd city of the Philippines"....

Ok then i better seriously think of running for the office...joke!
Nahh if there's more people like me in Cebu then evrybody would be doing Yoga..kewl!
Kidding aside there's nothing wrong with cebu being the second city of the Philippines thats kinda neat for a fact that cebuano's would never want cebu to be Manila in the first place. Cebu is Ceboom for sure...
Yah more positive thinking...we are moving there!

They don't want cebu to be manila, but my point is, it can even be better than manila in terms of becoming a destination in itself, apart from the philippines. Almost an autonomous state.

Master Plans are good. Every city ot even small town should have one. However, I have yet to see a Master Plan in the country that come into fruition, even granting modifications are necessary along the way. What we have are chaotic cities, full of slums and pollution! The one certain thing that happen is, as the city grows the bigger, its slum areas grow even bigger and faster! Even if you bring all your positive energies or spirit or whatever to the highest maximum level (whew!), it still happens.

Only when a city can clean up its current mess, can I start to believe that it is serious in implementing its "Master Plan." Well, Master plans can give the people some flicker of hope and something for politicians to talk about during election campaign. They are at least very good at this.

Again this is a master plan yet to be materialized, how about lets give it 10years from now and if none of even 2which is written here happens then we can look back and say see...it didnt happen BLAH BLAH @$^&%$
Never mind about the other previous plans/sweet talks by the previous politician as far as i can remember there were no concrete plan set forth by the previous president to Cebu or atleast something i am aware of thats has been MAPPED out (i could be wrong)

And yah positive thinking that is...Atleast by thinking positive i contribute something to the nation if it makes to it, Being skeptical wont help either aside from its draining, negativity causes worries that leads to fast ageing and wrinkles so im for the positive...MY WAY!

good quality comes with a price. remember that
In that case poor people will be left out. Remember what happened to our beaches? In our effort to entice moneyed individuals to come, businessmen develop their properties and jack up the prices of their resorts. It resulted into a frenzy that ordinary people had a hard time finding a good but inexpensive beaches.

You cannot build a Singapore or a Kuala Lumpur overnight. There has to be an improvement of the economy that will increase income to everyone, not just the rich ones. Try building an SM in the middle of a mountain, you cant expect it to be teeming with people.

I have been living in Cebu City for years. And if it really had what it takes to become a mega city the indicators would have surfaced twenty years ago. The problem with Cebu is that their planners are 20-50 years in advance. In reality or in implementing such plans, its snail paced. We have the North Reclamation or the SRP but look, it didnt work out the way it was intended.

BTW, everytime an Osmena is at the helm, be it mayor or governor, these grandiose plans suddenly surfaces. I dont know if this is their propaganda to feed the fantasy of the voters to vote for them. Thats my observation.
