Yes, I speak from experience...although not my own personal experience but with my cousin. I'm sure you know him well. You just have to look at yourself in the mirror. I don't deny that the Church does offer something good in the society. What I'm saying is, for those who are just plain hypocrits, better waste time doing something else.

I also think this thread should be moved to Religion and Spirituality. Although Atheist do not believe in any of it, the subject matter and ensuing discussions fall under belief and non-belief in Spirituality.

I'm an athiest, and I don't think that I'm a bad person.

I live by the moral standards that I learnt from my parents, and from society as a whole.

with your Cousin?, hmmm... as i know you, you only have one cousin who sounds like a heretic and heathen at the same time but thats besides the point, Hypocrisy maybe bad, but tell me who is not a hypocrite this days? Besides fictional characters such as John Galt and Howard Roark among others.... (pardon me for exhibiting the Ayn Rand syndrome) I'd like to look at Hypocrisy as something that is an end to something else; hypocrisy is merely a stage. Atheists or theists alike.

If tumanon niya ang tinuoray na Law of Love then dili siya atheist sa mata sa mga christiano bec God is Love. Wala lng siya maka ila sa iyang ginoo, although lisud ni nga sitwastion, liman ka, waka ka ila sa imong ginoo, or naa bay ginoo. Dunay pipila ka tawo ing-ana nga talagsa ra kaayo, nag buhat sila ug maayo but wala silay ginoo. And that made them a good person.
