What do you think will happen during the 5 yr curriculum?
Everything will turn around. Every little thing that you are doing since the start will have a purpose.
That's what education should have been. It should be a tool for self-empowerment, independence & excellence.

If willing jud motudlo ang senior Architects, then maybe naay hope for the younger generations. but if not the seniors are not willing (since mahimong compitinsya), then no wonder molarga nalang ang uban sa gawas, or magdraftsman/ renderer nalng kay sure pa ang sweldo.

If they don't need to undergo apprenticeship, then how would they have experience?

"School was not about the love of learning. It was about fear of failing." - Robert Kiyosaki

That's why Filipinos are so mediocre because we are taught in the wrong way.
Basta pasar lang bahalag walay sulod ang utok.
School should be a fun area of learning. And you should be where you want.
If you are not inclined to Arki..then don't go there..
If the people that truly love architecture are taught in a way that they are empowered, they will value everything... and more than that, they will excel as a world-class professional.

And yet most of your profs believe so.. I know a lot of CIT and UV graduates. I can distinguished the difference.
Sorry bro,,na miss nako imu post,,sakto ikaw una nagmention ug schools. I guess the TS aims to promote the profession and the young architects here in cebu to be heard, I think he did not mention na exclusive ni sa USC (basig ma-exclusive jud ni kay USC pud diay ang TS). better change the title or create another thread nalang about ani para didto magtigi. what is you course diay bro? murag naa lageh kay kalagot anang drafting sa architecture?

Im sure bro you know the answer to the question you asked on apprenticeship.
Is it only in apprenticeship that you learn the craft? Of course NO!
There are a lot of ways that you can teach yourself or you can refer into.
Why blame all the circumstances around you?
Why blame this & that..for your own failure to do so?
Are you leaning to these people your own success?
Can't you do it your own?
We are too dependent and that's the major disease that cripples us.

Thanks bro. you got me right.
Im not promoting USC. Of course, they are not a perfect school.
I aimed to help out Arkis be known. And find ways if there are areas where I could help.
I might be a little tough on words. But that's me.
I throw challenges in a hope that people will pick it up positively.

TS:agree ko sa imo point out bai. Di man angay magsalig ang student/apprentice sa iyang prof/ or kung asa sya nagwork/apprentice. but again, naa ta sa pinas where we all know that education/learning comes second from everything else. I understand where your passion is from since you had been inspired by R. Kiyosaki's book. the reason i ask that question was to point out the main reason why younger arki's are not excelling in your field. Just like R.Kiyosaki, he needed his rich dad to teach him the ropes.Like any other organisation, Seniority in your field is still very important (this together with experience/expertise). With your experience on both real estate then now moving to Arki, i hope you can inspire the younger arki's & students not to be mediocre. I am an industrial engineer but a designer by trade & like you i want to help out where i can. As a young professional like yourself i try help others by making them rethink, create a realistic solution & inspire them to do better. Otherwise i guess i am in a wrong thread & this should have been an exclusive thread for arkis only from the very start. Good Luck & Thanks anyway.

Bro, nobody taught me to be here on where I am now. I don't have seniors. My parents are never into this.
We are poor and we don't have circle of influences.
I have no friends who are into this. Nobody. And I came into my field with nothing but just a brave heart to do my passion. I just followed a path where my heart is there.. and I strive excellence. And here I am.

Thank you bro for being here.. Arkis or not..If we follow what we love and excel.. success will chase us.
