    Post paid sim cards are already registered so the Govt. will only need to focus on the Prepaid sims(which are a VAST majority here in the Philippines). I don't really see a reason why this wouldn't work. There's a difference between being realistic and being pessimistic. If the Government would really implement this and all of us cooperates, then there shouldn't be a reason for it to fail.

    In Singapore, the way they record and monitor prepaid sims is to register the buyers using their national ID(which we don't have) or passport. One can't buy a prepaid sim without a proper authentication.

    But anyway, We have a LOT of Government authentication IDs in our country. SSS, TIN, Driver's License, Passports, Voter's ID, etc.

    If you don't have ANY of those IDs, then I don't know. Continue living on your bukid nalang siguro.

    ok pud ni .. pero sa kadaghan naggamit ug cellphone asta mga bata karon easy2 na nila.

    dri sa uae- dli basta2 ka makapalit ug simcard. iregister jud gamit passport o residence card.
    then yearly renewal... dli pwed ilis2. ug mawala imong sim pwed ra iretrieve nila imo number. mao ra ghapon imo gamiton.
    aw f naa magpaboang2 nimo dri- matrace jud ang identity.
