During a fight with your spouse, what's the right way to deal with it?

ka, birahi nalang imohang misis. I mean . . . you know na kung unsa nga bira. At least, makuhaan imohang tension sa problem.

Kana kung, kaya sa dughan nimo. Otherwise, pagbuwag nalang mo . . .

My rules when having an argument (we don't fight) with my wife:
1. Maintain respect. No name calling or insulting
2. Never bring up past issues
3. Remember, she's your wife- one of the most important people in this world, so why are you fighting her.
4. You can always tell each other to stop the argument in the meantime and talk when things get better
5. Never argue when the kids are around

I've heard this once that when you're having a fight with your spouse you should end it right there and then. settle it as soon as possible, don't let another day pass by without solving the problem.

my take on this: I'd do the exact opposite. I'll wait until cooler heads prevail like after a good nights sleep. it's hard to tackle a problem head-on when both parties are fuming mad 'coz it may escalate into something that both will regret afterwards.

I wait about 15-30 minutes para mo kalma ming duha. Then, regardless kung kinsa'y sad-an, when those 30 mins are up, I approach him and tell him in a nice way my side of the issue. Lisod kaayo ang pride chicken sa kinabuhing minyo.
