I may be all of the three... hehehe. Pero student pa ko.
OT: naa diay diri si Prince Kamesh the prince of india ug DevNull niapil ani nga forum.
Well, wala may kalainan ang trabaho sa title nga programmer, software engineer ug developer.
Depende man na sa inyo company.
Pero mas maayo ug naay mangutana ninyo unsa inyo title, ingna gyud nga programmer kay kasagaran sa mga dili IT people daghan pa pangutana ug moingon ka nga developer or software engineer. Basin magtuo sila nga developer kag ug mga subdivision. Unya pabuhaton ka noon ug balay. heee heee heee. So programmer na lang kay aron dali. Ako kay dili na programmer ron. Ni shift na ko to DBA after 5 years nako ug trabaho sa software development. Related ra man gihapon ako work sa software development.
I'm a software engineer turned firmware engineer (from a Computer Engineering background). In my previous line of work we'd design integrated circuits (usually SOC's, implemented using FPGAs) that'll control servo motors and pneumatic controllers. So gamit kaayo ang microelectronics, thermodynamics, labina gyud calculus.
We usually run simulations through Matlab, translate the matlab program to C++, then embed it to our SOC's.
In this field of work, a Programmer or Developer doesn't fit, so we're settled calling ourselves Firmware/Software Engineers.
