Hi guys! i just want to express my thanks to all who shared their comments. It really helped me pick the right camera. I am loving it so much... By the way, I just got the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens with UV filters and the 8GB Sandisk Extreme SDHC Card (class 10) to pair it up. Now, all i need is the Bag and the SB600 flash.. hehehe

Nindot gyud og body ang D90... sa tinooray lang. Bisan ga work ko sa canon. hehehe. sorriiii canon... sa-un man nag pentamirror mang gud mo di parehas sa d90 pentaprism. However, don't loose hope canon users kay most high performance lens naa sa canon. hehehe. 1 thumbs up sa canon.... Sony dslr og samsung... hay sus... aynalang ana kay wa gyud nay klaro mga ing ana.

Try 550d with EFS 17-55 F/2.8 IS USM or EF 24-70 F/2.8L USM, the result is breath-taking... Na try gani nako 1000d with those lenses. di ma ilhan nga 1000d ako gi gamit. =)

@bosllo: Congratz! same ra ta! palit na ug 50mm, flash and sandisk extreme... payter kaayo ako napalit nga sandisk extreme Class10 at 8GB kay 77 continuous shots at 4.5 pix/sec - Large Fine Jpeg quality then ayha pa nagslow down... hehehe... sweet!

@bbarria: wow nice! pas2x ana bro oi, ako kay 22 at 4.5 pix/sec raman hehe... wala pako palit og sandisk ang free rani nga 16gb transcend SD HC 2 ako gamit, og 18-55mm nga lens, onya nako palit og flash kay dili pa kaayo ko kaamo mo gamit ana hehe... timog sa ko para sa nindot nga lens...

i know 18-105 ang kitlens sa d90 coz mao akong gamit before. ako lang gi compare ang overall cost with that of 550d. 35k d90 body only then buy 18-55(2nd hand) for about 5-6K then ur gud to go shelling out 40-41k as compared to the 44k of 550d.

you are comparing 2nd hand vs brand new with 3years warranty...

palit ka bago na karaan (going 3years old) na d90 plus 18-55 na 2nd hand (which is not an off the shelf option...hassle) plus the none existent real warranty to talk about...
vs the latest 550D plus brand new 18-55IS (which you can pickup at any camera shop no hassle) plus with extended 3years warranty...

overall cost 550D better gyapon specially if you want to compare apples with apples as in all brand new all none warranty...or all brand new and all with warranty (2yrs warranty sa nikon vs 3yrs warranty sa canon) canon would come out cheaper

aside from the builtin wireless ittl trigger on the d90 the canons offer is superior for the most part specs wise

yes ive had many situations where the resolution made a difference like when i shot for timex, resolution was the key thing for that project where other photographers they commissioned failed to deliver. i got booked again because of that.
100 - 6400 ISO with expanded ISO not available on the nikon
higher resolution LCD monitor
video and audio capability is far superior
Canon can record 1080p video clips at 30 fps and 720p video clips at 50 and 60 fps. has a stereo microphone input for the recording of videos in stereo sound. has full manual control and full AF during the video recording.

feel and preference...very subjective na yan...
