actually, pareha tag dilemma last week. D90 vs D5000.
    i considered the:
    1. price of the 2 cameras : d5000 is so much cheaper than d90 (unless money is not a factor).
    2. features: almost the same ila specs but d5000 - no Autofocus motor vs. d90 - available ang Autofocus. 4 fps (d5000) vs. 4.5fps (d90)
    3. LCD : if you want to have a VERSATILE LCD - d5000 vs. rich display LCD - d90.

bottomline is, same ra cla ug kuha sa picture basing on their specs.

verdict: i got the D5000, for the reason na mas so much cheaper cya same ra cla ug picture quality

totally wrong. better LCD gives better preview to assure your shot is good and what you want it to be.

There is truth to what Chipmunk has just pointed out. The LCD, in a way, aids photographers whether the captured image is exposed properly. Photographers who prefers to shot in manual mode use the LCD most of the time. As for me, because I'm lazy, I let the camera do the the calculation to get the right exposure.

D90 crispy + sharp + mounted lens = imba.. IMO

^^ plus better IQ in high ISO, built-in motor, two command dials that is very useful and more comfortable grip(IMO).

depends ra jud sa photog pero kung ako D90 jud over D5000. As I'm still a D40 user, D90 would be a good upgrade for me. I don't consider D3000 and D5000 an upgrade to D40 since they are they in the same entry level class.

for Waryu, the D5000 fits his need so its a wise buy for him. Nindot man pud ug kuha ang D5000.

we can't really rely too much with the LCD. Because sometimes the LCD shows the shots as not blurred but when you check it out in the monitor of the PC it becomes a very different story; blurred, different color, washout, underexposed.

I calibrate my monitor such that it matches with Fuji Films printing.

great thread.... lots of thoughts..... hehehehe

D40/60/3000/5000 requires more money to spend
D90/300/700/3 will end up with lesser money spent.....

Why?? buy any D40/60/3000/5000 and you will understand as time goes by
